If you're not doing anything, there are some tremendous finishes in the early NFL games. Check out red zone on the red button on sky sports 2. Should see the end of the games in the next five minutes, plus about fifteen minutes or so if the games go to overtime. Drama all over the place.

Cheryl Fernandez-Vagina just put the three worst girls through and kicked the others, including our Emily, to the kerb. She's left herself with 12-1, 33-1 and 50-1 chances. Ridic.

There's still the wildcard thingy next week, but looks like we can mark this one down as a looser.

Actually, hold fire.

Daily Report

Profit on Month £115.05

Outstanding Bets £3921.26

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc&usp=drive_web#gid=30

A profit of £262 yesterday

Winners.....

- Treve, ante-post for the Arc in January at 5-1 for £125. Never can we have been happier to have 5-1 ante-post about a 12-1 winner

- Treve to win the Arc by 2 or more lengths, again from January for £180. Again, another bet many of us had written off

- Flintshire, second in the Arc at 25-1, each way return of £105

- I finally found out what LOL stands for. League of Legends. Royal Club beat Edward gaming 3-2 for a profit of £22

Losers....

- Treve to win 3+ group 1 races in 2014  -£80

- Dolniya e/w in the Arc unplaced -£30

- Tomkins anytime goalscorwer West Ham. Two assists, and an unlucky one this -£10

- Two F1 Ante-post losers, Button -£20 and Magnussen -£30 who cannot win the title now after yesterday's result

So I am going to split the report into a few posts. There is simply too much to fit into one post and make it readable

The Arc

Longchamp in October, one of the great racing days of the season

A year ago Treve had spreadeagled the field, but the 2014 season had been frustrating with two injuries, to hoof and back, and losses early season to Crrus Des Aigles, at Royal Ascot to The Fugue and the Arc warm up last month

To then go and become the first horse since Alleged in 1978 to win back to back Arcs must go down as one of the great performances

"One of the greatest training performances of the modern era." said Channel 4

I don't think any of us expected it, an emotional day for those involved in it

Flintshire here in the Abdullah colours ran a great race on the ground he liked

The Arc produced a profit of £300 for the thread

more coming....

Baseball

Game 3 of the ALDS. In the other ALDS the Baltimore Orioles had swept the Detroit Tigers 3-0 to reach the Championship series

The Kansas City Royals won both games in Anaheim for a 2-0 lead and returned to Kaufman Park needing a win to sweep

The Los Angeles Angels' Mike Trout hit a home run in the first inning off James Shields. A sell out 41,000 crowd went eerily quiet, as if they could sense that things had been too good to be true

However back came the Royals, smashing the Angels with with Alex Gordon's three-run double

homers by Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas

and three hits from Aoki.

James Shields worked the first six innings, giving up two runs in total from Mike Trout and Albert Pujols. The bullpen did the rest.

Kelvin Herrera came back from an arm ailment throwing 101 mph and pitched a perfect seventh. Wade Davis gave up one run in the eighth, then shut things down. Greg Holland the closer who had sealed the deal in the first two games worked a 1-2-3 ninth

The Royals, one of the great underdogs and under-achievers of American sport, had swept, winning the game 8-3

Now they will take on the Orioles in the best-of-seven AL Championship Series starting on Friday night at Baltimore

That will be a close series. Both teams pitch well, defend better and struggle to hit. The Royals bats have been underperforming all season but finally got hot last night....

We have 18-1 back from March that the Royals win this, against now a team we have sweated all season, the Orioles

Exciting stuff!

Football

Top ten bet West Ham beat QPR 2-0, barely extended against desperately disappointing opposition to go 7th

Southampton's slide to inevitable relegation began with a 1-0 defeat at Tottenham. Lamela did not score

Wellbeck did not score for Arsenal, but then neither did anyone else, so no damage for that top Arsenal scorer bet

Arsenal: Have now failed to score in their last 392 minutes (6 hours 32 minutes) of action against Chelsea

Costa did score again, his ninth of the season

NFL

There are no more undefeated teams left in the NFL after 5 weeks.

1 loss teams:

• Cowboys
• Bengals
• Cardinals
• Eagles
• Broncos
• Seahawks
• Chargers

In that lot are a couple of nice sweats for us

- We have the Eagles to win the conference and Superbowl and they beat the Rams 34-28 last night. The Eagles are an odd team, performing quite poorly at times and winning. Eagles have four special teams TDs and three on defense this season. Offense has 10 touchdowns total. In last 3 weeks, Eagles have MORE TDs from the defense & special teams (6) than offense (4).

Eagles have seven total return TDs in 2014, which NFL said is most of any NFL team in first five games of a season since at least 1970.

- We have the Chargers (at a mighty 13/2 in a three horse race) to win the AFC West and they delivered a massive loss to the hapless Jets last night. The Broncos and Chargers is going to be a great battle all season.

- elsewhere, the Bengals lost for the first time this season 43-17 to the Patriots. Those 43 points aren't the greatest piece of news for the "team to concede lowest points bet"

- the Steelers (conference bet) beat the Jags 17-9 to go one game behind the Bengals

- The victories of the Patriots and the Bills were good news for our Dolphins to finish 4th in the AFC East bet. If we forget the Jets exist

- Our Packers bet was inordinately helped by the Bears losing to the Panthers and the Lions losing to the Bills in their division

Yesterday, Chicago's final five drives: 27 yards combined, 3 turnovers.

Bills win in Detroit on a 58-yard FG with Kyle Orton at QB and no running game after the Lions had missed three field goals including one to win it

It was a quiet day for our player bets

except Julio Jones who had another 115 yard receiving for the Falcons in their loss to the Giants

check this catch out

http://twitpic.com/ecfo21

Julio with 552 yards is leading the NFL receiving charts, and we have 12-1 e/w. He has 40 receptions through 5 games

http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?seasonType=REG&d-447263-n=1&d-447263-o=2&d-447263-p=1&d-447263-s=RECEIVING_YARDS&tabSeq=0&season=2014&experience=&Submit=Go&archive=false&conference=null&statisticCategory=RECEIVING&qualified=false

In the same game Matt "can't win outside a dome" Ryan passed for 316 yards

Elsewhere, the incomparable Peyton Manning  dropped a career high 479 yard on Arizona

Ryan, on whom we have 16-1 each way, is a close second to Andrew Luck currently

http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?archive=false&conference=null&statisticCategory=PASSING&season=2014&seasonType=REG&experience=&tabSeq=0&qualified=false&Submit=Go

One bet that is struggling for us is LeSean McCoy who had 86 rushing yards yesterday on 28 carries

For the Dallas Cowboys (lets go Cowboys!) DeMarco Murray, behind the best OL in the league is on pace for 2,144 yards, 39 yards better than the NFL record held by Hall of Famer, Eric Dickerson.

Kelvin Benjamin still leads rookie receivers despite being unable to catch a cold yesterday

http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?seasonType=REG&d-447263-n=1&d-447263-o=2&d-447263-p=1&d-447263-s=RECEIVING_YARDS&tabSeq=0&season=2014&experience=0&Submit=Go&archive=false&conference=null&statisticCategory=RECEIVING&qualified=false

cliffs: We have over 5 exciting season sweats at 10-1 or above in various categories, plus a number at 13/2 and shorter

further cliffs:  I wish didn't like statistics

F1

Outstanding we have

£25 Mercedes to win the Constructors at 6/5

This would have won already, its 190 points ahead, except some idiot decided to introduce double points for the last race

£30 at 3-1 Hamilton
£50 at 6-5 Rosberg

one of these will scoop

the £10 e/w 1/5 1,2,3 Bottas at 50-1 is live, but unlikely (but a tremendous spot i think)

I haven't taken the £30 Emily Middlemass at 16-1 X-Factor as a loser, pending the wild cards next weekend

It is a great comfort for this bet knowing we are in the safe hands of a real thinker, one of the great talent spotters throughout the global entertainment industry

from a brief perusal of last night's episode she appears to have put through someone who was completely out of tune, completely unlikeable and posher than edgascoigne and dumped our plucky 15 year old Scottish lass

Is this because I scoffed about how fortunate the cowboys were to win? Cheesy

Kelvin Benjamin was the offensive rookie of the month in September and he came up against the same month's defensive rookie of the month in Chicago's Kyle Fuller. Seems to have been the cornerback who stole the show. Benjamin has a target on his back now, but he still seems to be a mismatch for most corners in the league.

Love the Monday morning reports, great work Rich.

Amazing how well we have done with those two Baseball bets, in both cases almost historical or record-breaking results.

Still plenty of mileage, too.

What exactly does this mean, please?

Greg Holland the closer who had sealed the deal in the first two games worked a 1-2-3 ninth
