Indeed - just popped onto the Fulham forums and they are quite rightly asking why he would be a better pick than Kit Symons who has done pretty well by all accounts!

McKinlay was Jol's assistant at Fulham I believe
Who knows what has gone on, but its an odd one to think Fulham have better medium term prospects than Watford

At least it's not just Watford being idiots by sacking another manager for tenuous reasons.
I gather he has yet to actually sign a contract with Watford, so if Fulham have made him a better offer then good luck to him.

The markets suggest he hasn't been made an offer from Fulham (very weak on betfair)
Maybe just people putting two and two together
Watford one of the best bets of all time (not playing well, difficult dressing room rotation of managers but still near the top?)

If we carry on like this we'll be able to do a full Watford manager calender by the end of the season. August Sannino, September Garcia, October McKinley, November Hasselbaink.

Now feels like a good time to go in again on Kit Symons. Would be ridic if he didn't get the job imo.
All the fixed odds have McKinley at around evens, which is way off what's being done on 'the exchanges'.
Flick in £20 at 5-2 (BMU) for now ta.
Or we could try for a trade, have £100 at 5-2 and try to lay back £80 at 2.6 on de machine. Reckon it could well be matched.
Will leave it to the placement panel to decide.

Yes makes sense to me Chompy. The only reason he hasn't got it already because Fulham created that new manager "committee" so they need to be seen to be considering the options.
Symons must still be heavy favourite.

only issue is whilst the books are so skewed compared to betfair you wont be able to lay Kit any shorter than 2/1 imo
Leave as a bet for now?

I tried for the trade, £100 at 5/2 and lay £80 back but BMU limited us to £20, so I had to do the first suggestion
Next Permanent Fulham Manager Kit Symons (Outright - Specials) Odds: 5/2 Stake: 20.00 Possible Return: 70.00

Yuh, this panel, including Niall 'they must have seen what I did at Sunderland, and liked it' Quinn is the worry. They can't just get together, decide that Kit is the man for the job, then go their separate ways. All they're really doing is slowing down the process imo. Give Kit the gig!

New man in at Watford already. That Jovanovic bloke that played midfield for Chelsea. I won't get too excited as he probably won't be here by the next international break!
