Not very often we see a 25/1 shot tipped with such confidence.

And with that in mind;

Based on yesterday's Nations Cup, David Coulthard looked pretty good out there in Barbados.

I suggest a min bet on him (25/1 with Bet Victor).

do the rally drivers have a big advantage in this? power slides round tight corners, suits their style etc etc?

i see we backed wehrlein at 33/1 and BV now quote him at 7/1

anyway

Ladbrokes are better rung than onlined. Be surprised if they won't take the bets over the blower. 08081001124.

Still a bit of 11-4 around about Bournemouth v Liverpool in the week.

He's believed already to have turned the job down. Was contacted about a month ago by NESN and said he didn't want to return to the Prem yet.

Petter Solberg is the only Rally name I recognize in the start list.

Never watched the event, but I'd assume rally drivers adapt to unfamiliar cars quicker, & their style is more adaptable.

We ran a bit bad with KMac, we have, quite inadvertently, missed a load of winners from him, but we got on yesterday on the nut wrong day.. Keep them coming please.

Pretty bad day!  Mores o because on the other thread I stuck up winners @ 16/5, 15/8 and a 4/11 shot that went off 1/4 I thought  it was a 1/5 shot but they struggled.

I had my Christmas party with the office last night and one of our lot is a season ticket holder at Hamilton and he said Dundee were unlucky to lose but the early goals were the difference.

Marcus mariota won the heisman last night.

Proper case of an amazing value bet last year that got scuppered by injury. Likely to be the no.1 pick in the NFL draft next year.

Wow, we were a year too early.

Was looking to see how he had been doing a couple weeks back, and posted here that it looked like he was going to win.

Looks like he didn't just win -

Mariota received twice as many points as second-place finisher Melvin Gordon, the record-breaking running back out of Wisconsin. The other finalist, Alabama receiver Amari Cooper, was third.

Mariota received the second-highest percentage of possible points (90.92) in Heisman history, behind only Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith, who had 91.63 in 2006.

2006   : Troy Smith          91.6%
2014   : Marcus Mariota   90.9%
1998   : Ricky Williams     85.2%
1993   : Charlie Ward      83.8%
2010   : Cam Newton      81.5%
1968   : O.J. Simpson      79.3%
2013   : Jameis Winston   79.1%

Isn't he in a team with Susie Wolff and she is 66/1?  Or do the teams change?

He was in Team GB with Susie Wolff yesterday for the Nations Cup - they finished 2nd. Wolff is massively over-priced at 66/1 - should have been more like 30/1. Either way, today is the individual race of champions competition.

This is a big motorsport debate. In a way, it does suit the style of a rally driver in terms of power slides and pace through corners, but it also suits the open-wheel drivers in terms of early application of the throttle. It's interesting to compare two different driving styles in the same car on one track.

Looking good for Coulthard so far, he won all three of his races in the group stage (beating Whincup, Doohan and reigning champion Grosjean) and is now through to the quarter final, where he will face Solberg.
