Adz's horse bet returned £55, Rich.

Only a couple quid more, but it will keep Tikay in sticky buns for a couple days.

Bengals defense looks a different beast now doesn't it? Reason for taking the Steelers? Just too much quality? Should we be concerned about Roethlisberger under pressure?

Surely with so many possible team changes players rested this is the ideal week to be backing big priced players in various games?

Bengals played MNF and won a big one against Denver. the stat i put up earlier in the week, winning teams playing MNF going into the last week to play away as a dog are 1-8.

here bengals have got to get up again (last week was their must win game) when already guaranteed a play off spot on a day's less rest

yes the bengals are healthier (aj green and defense)

won't be betting it on here, but should be a good one

Sad news, Ron Henry, a Spurs "great" back in the day, has passed away.

Nfl that is

the problem here is you have to second guess which coach will rest players, and then which players

the best guess is sides already in the play offs whose play off seeding cannot change

there are some clues about though

Tal alluded to this game above

"New England Patriots‘ tight end Rob Gronkowski will play limited action in the NFL‘s final week of regular season action.

Entering their week 17 game against the Buffalo Bills, the New England Patriots have nothing to play for. They have the number one seed and home field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs all locked up. Furthermore, there is no issue of competitive integrity in play because the Bills have been eliminated from playoff contention."

http://fansided.com/2014/12/27/rob-gronkowski-will-get-little-no-playing-time-week-17/

now with Dareus (starting and probable all-pro d lineman) and gilmore (the number 1 corner once mckelvin went down) out for the Bills too.....you have to try to put all this together

without gronk, tim wright at 12-1 looks interesting

gronk out takes 12 TDs out of the offense, and there are points to go round....

Whilst looking for something else, I stumbled upon this piece of Arsenal gold.

Note the three crudely photo-shopped players.....

Any love today for Bournemouth 5/6 away to Milwall?

Bournemouth are flying high in the league, whilst Milwall are struggling. Lost 6-1 away to Norwich on Boxing Day.
Smidgen of value there I think.

1966?

clues

has to be pre-71 as Sammels went to leicester after arsenal did the double

don howe stopped playing in the mid 60s?

its pre bob wilson. he was Arsenal first choice from the late 60s, so its before that

karabiner can tell me how close i am

No comment at present.

The whole page, with every Team, is really quite interesting, & I'll post it later.

Just having a look at my open bets for the year, and I came across Julio Jones for Most Receiving Yards @ 10/1  E/W.

Is Fred not on this?   Looks to have a decent shout of winning going into the last week of the regular season.

No

It is "mine" though, mentioned on here and elsewhere

He is 35 yards behind Antonio Brown going into tonight, and thats having missed week 15 too and sespite Atlanta's travails this season

the good news is that he doesn't need a fitness test this week (he got 107 yards last week when limited by his hip flexor injury), and should be good to go 100% against Carolina

there is a chance of a scoop with a good one tonight

I think it's earlier than 1966 Rich, more like 1960/61 as George Eastham has just arrived judging by the inset. I remember all of those guys.

Don Howe must have been player?/coach at that time as he once told someone to "get that kid out of here" when George Swindin had allowed me in the dressing-room before a match.

its later than 60-61

Jon Sammels (who i got to know a little bit once he settled in leicestershire - a driving instructor- he did some matchday hospitality)  played til about 77-78 and started around 63-64

60-61 would mean he was 15 ish in this picture
