I think Ayr United are a bet tonight at home to Peterhead.

Pretty poor conditions, wet and wild on the west coast and expect this to be a pretty dire match.  Ayr by all accounts have performed a bit better since Ian McCall took over, this is his level and he excels at it.  He has managed to get a few loan signings in.

Peterhead have one of the best away records in the league but they have a bit of a jaunt coming down from up north.  With many part timers and no doubt a few players making their own way to the game this won't be easy.

17/10 about Ayr is definitely worth a bet.

Like both the travel angles on the above bets, it is under rated in the markets in lower league football. Similar to why I am big on Stoke at 6/4+ tomorrow

I like Brighton at home to Derby tonight at 15/8 BetFred.

Brighton better than league position, and improving, Derby missing Martin, Bent and Thorne. Derby doing double away (Fulham at the weekend, then here)

Nice spot thumbs up

Interesting article on our rookie of the year bet comparing him to previous rookie of the year winners.

I am going to tentatively and a bit nervously stick a toe back in the water....

the spreadsheet is at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc&usp=drive_web#gid=22

Watford

£25 8/1 to be promoted

beat Fulham last night

In the very congested top end of the championship are 3rd, a point off the top

Deeney

£20 e/w at 45-1 (50-1 and 40-1) paying 4 places

this was very shrewdly recommended on his immediate comeback from injury in November

Scored again last night

the Championship golden boot is currently

Daryl Murphy    Ipswich Town    21
Odion Ighalo    Watford    17
Cameron Jerome    Norwich City 16
Chris Martin    Derby County    16
Britt Assombalonga    Nottingham Forest 15
Troy Deeney    Watford    15
Callum Wilson    AFC Bournemouth 15

Britt is out for a year, and Deeney is a goal off top 4 despite the heroics of Ighalo who has been scoring for fun for months

Bamford

Scored for Middlesborough last night

£25 6-1 top Middlesborugh league scorer

Now

Bamford 11
Leadbitter 11 (7 pens included)
Kike 8

Peterborough

Great win at Sheff U last night

Now 2 points behind Doncaster, who led at Preston and drew
Now top half and looking at the play offs

the book is a complex one!

league one   Peterborough 12/1.   40 (e/w top 3)
Doncaster v Peterborough season bet   Peterborough10/11. 220
league one bottom half finish   peterborough   9/2   40
league one Top Half Finish - 2014/15 peterborough   5/4   40
Next Permanent Peterborough Manager Robertson   14/1   20

 win or lose

if people want me to go through the rest of the book, let me know. any positions that particularly strike you as pressing let me know

8 left in the champ hurdle.  How likely all 8 run?  just thinking of getting the 1/4 1,2,3 now nrnb as every horse is ew value anyway.  If there are 1 or 2 nr's then 1/4 123 is a gift.  Anyone got any thoughts?

Ladbrokes gone 10/3 the new one today for example (so 5/6 a place when its 1/2 a place on bf) and that assumes all 8 run if it cuts up to 5 or 6 runners then it's a massive freeroll betting early.

I have a feeling Deeney is about to pay back Tikay for all the misery Watford put him through last year in the top half schenanigans......

I see Vautour is 8-1 NRNB with Sadblokes for the Arkle

Mullins has made it clear he only runs if something happens to UDS, ergo if it does Vautour will be less than half the price. Looks a freeroll to, er... freeroll, unless I'm being whooshed by something.

If he doesn't run, money back!

Stoke out to 8/5 now against Everton.  No idea why.  Everton playing their 5th game in 13 days including back to back mid week Europa league games.  Stoke played twice in 2 weeks.  Everton 1 day fewer rest than Stoke.  Makes no sense to me at all.    Maybe Stephen Ireland getting injured really is that important!

Cheers for the Barca nod Jim.

Are we just backing Stoke or laying Everton as well/instead?

Trying to work out how much bigger Stoke can get before topping up.  Very hard to understand where this Everton gamble is coming from.
