Was just looking at the Villa QPR game tonight and was surprised to see over 2.5 goals was odds against. QPRs last 5 have gone over 2.5 (the 2 away games in that period had 4 and 5 goals), Villas last 5 have seen 3 games go over 2.5 tho only 1 was at home, and the last two meetings of Villa at home to QPR have both gone over 2.5 (4 and 5 goals) though the last 3 games where QPR have hosted villa haven't. More importantly both QPR and Villa must try to win this game with a draw not really benefiting either team (although worse for QPR). This along with QPRs defensive record and Sherwoods more offensive Villa makes this a bet imo. Rec £20 @ 23/20 on bfsb
any views for or against this?
seems reasonable doesn't it?
It does to me. I got the impression that QPR were very lucky on Saturday.
As it happens, I would quite like to see Villa beaten, as I can't rid myself of the view that Sherwood is a talking horse with no pedigree who must have got very lucky to walk into a fabulous job.
I think Villa will win tonight though.
Odds against for over 2.5 feels good though.
Hope so.
Benteke hat trick and a Philips double with austin sent off in the first half will do just nicely for the fantasy football trifecta,
You very nearly got that trifecta up Greg!

Austin should have gone for that tackle and phillips 2 assists and 1 goal and the Benteke hat trick is close enough :-)

I think it´s probably about right, they just have great fixtures compared to the others. It seems maybe a tiny bit short but no more than that.

I'd rather back Norwich at 3/1 than lay Bourney, I think they have slightly the better fixtures of the top lot. Leeds away is banker material now as much as it pains me to say it. Norwich come from nowhere at xmas with a new manager which echoes what has happened frequently in the cship in recent years. Sadly they never reached a massive price. I think they can win out. Not much in it though and Bourney have the extra point but 3/1 could be worth a tickle if you fancied opposing.

The Tottenham Hotspurs have announced their summer holiday (which apparently started on Sunday morning) will see them travel to Malaysia. Amongst others, they will play Sydney FC and the Sydney FC Twitter account decided to pick a fight:

Lots of Aus v Eng matches coming up! Starting with @SydneyFC v @SpursOfficial on 30 May! Fancy a repeat of this?

Only to be met by the inevitable riposte:

Tottenham Hotspur ✔ @SpursOfficial
@SydneyFC We’ve hit plenty of late winners this season so something like this on Sydney soil is more likely! #COYS

hmmmm not to keen on Walker's draw for the Masters. What are funds like on Betfair? - I've traded out 20 win and 20 5 places of my 25/25. Also did the same on Day who has a similar draw.

What is it that you don't like about their draws Dave?
I'm guessing it's a personality thing as they're at different times a few hours apart.

what's the potential problem with a late draw day 1 then early-ish day two please?
weather?
The betfair balance is low-ish, and i am reluctant to run for the hills really with Aintree this week as well where we will need some firepower

You have made the Masters look quite easy if you are writing off the late starters
Speith
Stenson
Walker
Woods
Horschel
Day
Garcia
Fowler
Kuchar
Macdowell
Koepka
Etc
Bar Jordy, i would be happy with that, but don't see it quite so straightforward.

A quick masters round up
we are on Casey (top GB) and Walker (outright e/w)
Langer was mentioned for top senior, but we were waiting til the draw etc. is that something we should revisit?
some of the popular markets
Winner
http://www.oddschecker.com/golf/the-masters/winner
Speith is available at 12-1...in the light of discussions about his "value" over the weekend
apart from betfair sportsbook (7 places), we can only get 5 places e/w at this stage
would i be correct in assuming that the wet weather makes the course play longer so in rounds 1 and 2 that takes on even more importance?
apart from the obvious bubbas and dustins, any live outsiders that come into play on this?
to miss the cut
http://www.oddschecker.com/golf/the-masters/to-miss-the-cut
evens Tiger. had to check this again :-)
top amateur
http://www.oddschecker.com/golf/the-masters/top-amateur
this is the sort of market that sometimes throws out something
8 runner field, e/w 2 places 6-1 bar two
top european
if we say that rory being so short gives a squeak at finding some each way value elsewhere who would that be?
http://www.oddschecker.com/golf/the-masters/top-european
top senior
50-1 bar the top 4 in an e/w market paying 2 places
http://www.oddschecker.com/golf/the-masters/top-senior
couples is usually a popular pick in this, jimenez plays at a high level. langer on the seniors tour has wins this year.
none of the 50-1+ rags going to get in the top three of this?
there are lots of other sub markets too, take your pick
