As we all know Augusta is a "form horse" course, with clear correlation of historic form compensating for current momentum and form. A few players are always worth of consideration; Couples, Scott, Cabrera etc always mentioned.

My preference is for the eternal bridesmaid Lee Westwood. Since 2009 and his second coming he's become imo a course specialist. His form reads 30/11/43/2/11/3/8/7 - been battling with best way to play him all week. 13/8 Coral Top 20 looks ok, although I am leaning towards 50/1 Ew bfsb 7 places.  His 2015 form is solid if not spectacular - he's in good nick, 5 top 20s from 7 starts and one missed cut latest which probably impacts proce slightly.

The problem with later is his obvious inability win a major making the win part -Ev when backable at 60/1 on machine but the old romantic in me doesn't think he hasn't got a major in him.

Reccomend

£50 Top 20 at 13/8 Corals
£10ew BFSB at 50/1 7 places

man alive, Shaun.

Westwood?! on those greens?

i'll throw it open. i think play starts at 12.45pm. views for or against through the morning please

His putting has been good so far this season.

2012 – Ranked 175th on tour for strokes gained putting
2013 – Ranked 168th on tour for strokes gained putting
2014 – Ranked 65th on tour for strokes gained putting
2015 – Ranked 28th on tour for strokes gained putting (after 7 events)

Looks like an improving picture.

I know we got 15/8 last year on the top 20 for Westwood, no one has been that silly this year. I had a small interest on the outright.

thank you

any more Westwood thoughts before i decide what to do?

Sadly my procrastination has cost us 5 points, and I should have taken a chance yesterday.

Rajdhani Express stands out for me in the Topham tomorrow, but the bigger prices are long gone, and I also like the chances of Bless the Wings.

Second in the Kim Muir, he stormed up the first part of the hill but slowed right down, as if he didn't truly stay the 3miles. This 2.5m should be spot on.  on.Touch wood, he is a good jumper and never fallen. ground should be spot. All his wins have been on Good to soft.

Elliot is a master of turning horses round and his preparation on BTW looks as if he has been trying to tee him up for the Spring campaign.

Davy Condon is a safe conveyance and gets used by a lot of bigger Irish stables for some proper punts and I wouldn't be surprised to see a fair bit of money for this.

Keeping the stakes sensible for Fred so have £10 ew @20-1

secondly in Honey glazed Parsnip at least they aren't sprouts Pete's race...looks another good e/w heat. anyone want to put another one up?

At 25/1 bar 6 the Foxhunters isn't a bad heat.
I've gone for Warne but couldn't put you off Big Fella either.
Make sure you bet at quarter first four

I'll put my Formula One bets up tomorrow at 8PM ish :-)

Hopefully someone is online then to place them ahead of the first practice session in the early hours! Excited

You do know its the Grand National and the Masters this w/end yeah? Can your scaletrix bets wait until the next staged race?

^^ Only joking, will look forward to seeing what you come up with this week. I have only just started following your tips and only go small ball on them. It does add to the excitement though when watching the races live now, rather than just waiting for the highlights.

1.40, Aintree

Jossess Hill is 2/1 with Coral, max £20. Not significant, but better price than others, think we should get on

Bloody McCoy. Useless!!

Sooner he retires the better!!! Grin

Not sure what to say about that.  Ferguson filled me with confidence before the race, the horse didn't at the first fence and every fence thereafter.

More worried that McCoy might not make his retirement party tbh!!

Still 5-1 PP (no time scale) and 13-2 Scuy (end of summer window) for those that can. You'll wanna be quick though.

Decent start to Aintree, we hit the crossbar & the post, but made a small profit. Beats a loss all day long, well done all.

No, i am afraid we were down £38 across the two races.

Shame the Nicholls horse won the second, we were nailed on the 1-2 just after the last
