Not sure why I post horses on this thread. Doomed, Mr Mainwaring. They're all doomed!!!

I had to abandon ship & attend some Meetings, so I missed all the fun. I'm guessing we did a Marky, & knocked it in, right?

Never mind, a delayed afternoon nap follows, then an evening of Masters Golf. But PLEASE Sky Sports, spare us the sentimental schmaltzy violon background music, & use Sarah & Monty sparingly.

Good old Peter Alliss on BBC last night was not wearing a jacket, but had a splendid pair of red braces on, which matched his socks. Love Peter Alliss.

Are you telling us that you're not already watching Amen Corner via the red button?

When is a man supposed to sleep?

Amen Corner it is, damn you.

Be warned, when I miss my afternoon nap, I'm inclined to the grumpy side of tetchy.

After a terrible run with an unsettled team it looks as if Luton will be able to put out a strong line up on Saturday.Recommend £20 @ 21/10 with billy hills.Has to be 21/10 or better as Burton are deservedly top and 21/10 is just fractionally value for lutons probable line up.

I'll put my Formula One bets up tomorrow at 8PM ish :-)

Hopefully someone is online then to place them ahead of the first practice session in the early hours! Excited

You do know its the Grand National and the Masters this w/end yeah? Can your scaletrix bets wait until the next staged race?

^^ Only joking, will look forward to seeing what you come up with this week. I have only just started following your tips and only go small ball on them. It does add to the excitement though when watching the races live now, rather than just waiting for the highlights.

So apparently there is another big race of some sort this weekend, but nevertheless, here are my F1 bets  Tongue

Points Finish - Marcus Ericsson @ 2/1 with Victor. Only small value here. Ericsson is generally quicker than his teammate, Nasr, and the best price you can get on him is 13/8. Not sure why Marcus has a better price really. Min bet.

Group C (SAI/VER/ALO/BUT) - Max Verstappen @ 13/8 with Paddy. Toro Rosso are quicker and more reliable than McLaren, and Verstappen is a much more complete driver in comparison to his team mate, at this stage in their development at least. Suggest £20.

Winning Margin - 11-15.999 Seconds @ 11/2 with Blose. No real data to say this is a good bet, but over 5/1 seems a little excessive to me, there is value here. Suggest a min bet.

Double Points Finish - Force India @ 16/1 with 365. They don't have the pace to do this under normal circumstances, however they are extremely reliable (no breakdown all season, including pre-season testing!) and this price is out of line with other bookies. Min bet.

and, as a bit of a punt (not necessarily a tip, just if you fancy it):

Total Safety Car Periods - 2 @ 27/4 with Blose. Price seems too high to me, especially on a circuit like Shanghai where rain is a likely possibility. Min bet.

2.50 aintree saphir du rheu the class act of these over hurdles, but failed to complete in 2 out of 3 chases. he's a shortie, 6/1 the field bar him, 9 runner field so great for e/w, any views on what to oppose him with?

Looks to me like these two bets still need to go on the spreadsheet Smiley

They will Peter, don't worry. Tighty is incredibly busy, & that Spready is a nightmare to keep up to date, but he has a system, & all bets get recorded.

Good luck with the Chinese Grand Prix - how did first Practice pan out?

The solid one would look to be Caroles D.

I hope you are playing for places though. This is one of those times the 7/4 looks the value to me.

Bok!
