Never in doubt. Gulp.

Nice one, Phil, you cut it fine, but we got there. Nice profit that one.

Never doubted you.

All I know about golf is that Rory McIlroy is stepping out with Caroline Wozniacki and Adam Scott is stepping out with Ana Ivanovic (some might say that's all I know about tennis too) so it was good to have a sweat on this.

I hate Adam Scott with a passion.

Watney bet looking very good.

Not sure if this is too short for the TFT thread.

Backing Nick Watney to triumph over Darren Clarke in their 1st round match at the Accenture World Match play at a generally available 2/5 is basically pinching money.

Clarke is playing awful off the tee and this course demands accuracy from the tee against watney who has not hit top form yet but is ticking along ok.

Everything required of someone to do well at this course is missing from Clarkes game currently, too many putts, errant off the tee, poor scrambling, too fat, too unhealthy.

Watney has decent form on this course in this tournament and will absolutely crush Clarke. I'm on for the car.

ON, let's try & buy £40. (SkyBet).

 Nick Watney
Nick Watney v Darren Clarke: Match Winner 2/5 £100.00  £140.00

WINNER.

£100 staked, £140 return.

N1, thank you.

We shall see soon enough, I have Kim (1 down thro 10), too. Luckily, your tip, & Molinari both got the job done, so its a freeroll now, with a small profit locked up whatever happens.

8 birdies for toms. Lucky to even be in with a chance at the 18th if you wanted to look at it that way.

Loved it!

What a contrast in the type of betting opportunities there is between matchplay, & stroke play Tourneys!

Also, laugh away guys, but I followed golf very closely for over 25 years, & then, in the last 20 years, pursued other interests, so I could not get used to the fact that the World Matchplay was held in the desert, in the USA - it seemed, in my mind, to be synonomous with soggy ground & rainy days at Wentworth, & was sponsored by "Piccadilly" cigarettes, of all things. So much change in life......

Quite a lot of activity yesterday, & ended up on the day.

Movements were.....

Azazenka, Tennis, LOST £50

RL 6N, £20 invested (for Saturday)

Golf....

Kim, £40 staked, lost (backed earlier in the week)

Fowler, £55 staked, Lost

Watney, £100 staked, won

Molinari, £110 staked, won.

Running total update to follow.

Could still use some guidance from the elders - & Chompy - as to bet sizing. For now, unless the bet is advised as bigger or smaller, I'll stick with roughly £50 a pop.

You've twice posted RL 6N when it should be RU 6N.
I don't think that it's important but some people get worked up about things like that.

Whoops.

Don't want any confusion with what an anon (TIGHTY) referred to as "Northern lesser cousins", do we?

PS - Glad you are auditing the thread, mistakes are gonna happen.

PPS - I now live about 3 miles from Twickers, so must remember not to venture out on Saturday, the local roads will be chock-a-block.
