i will propose a cricket bet (makes a change from my racing losers)

sri lankan 1st innings partnership to be under 30.5 runs bluesq 5-6

this looks a very fair bet based on past stats for both the sri lankan openers and the england attack. This is a slightly better price than of late and i presume is because broad isnt playing, however bresnan or finn coming in have at least equal test records so i dont think that should be a worry

£30 at 5-6 is my suggestion

I'm still on catch-up here, but unless I read it wrong, Mr HP got us on a winner here, yes?

Scorecard extract.....

Fall of wicket
21 Dilshan
21 Sangakkara
30 Thirimanne

Yes, that was a good spot.

(and you can't be expected to get up for 5.30am, the price to lay the draw lasted about 20 minutes! As you say, best to be disciplined)

Thanks tikay about time i got one right.

i have to say it did not very good until the wicket (obvious statement there)

Luckily anderson is as reliable as anybody these days and bowled a lovely spell.

Just been to do my food shop (yes early but i hate crowds), must have had the volume on loud as i was listening to tms, the assistant asked me the score he is either an avid cricket fan or a follower of the thread Smiley

Happy enough with The Blackburn bet considering they had plenty of shots on goal and held for 81 minutes .

No doubting Man Utd were the better team but we certainly had the value and one goal could of nicked it .

surely if you are doing anybody other than tiger the best place to do so is paddy power?

top 6 for each way and refund on win part if Tiger wins it; might take a shade off some of the prices but with the tiger promo combined with top 6 is a no brainer?

BlueSquare are offering money back for anyone finishing within two shots of the leader for bets placed before the end of the second round. Is this a better offer unless you've picked a real outsider? (Possibly not, only 13 players have finished within two shots of the leader in the last 10 years).

Corals are offering money back if your man leads after the 3rd round. Good if you've picked a possible choker?

Draw now into 13-8 in various places after this big stand

That's a lay. I don't expect the pitch to get easier to bat on

edit, just been a wicket

out to 3.8 on Betfair

missed it by about 3 minutes

Daily Summary.

Barnet play Swindon tonight. We really need a bad result for Barnet here.

No other action today.

I am working tonight, so will be unavailable for wagering purposes from Noon until Midnight.

Masters Bets?

One has been placed already (£20), & at least one other will be placed today or tomorrow,  hp's "debutant" bet.

I'm reminded of back in the day, when I punted a lot. Every year, when it neared Cheltenham time, all those great horses, great races, I used to invest every penny I could lay my hands on. Most years, like almost everyone else, I did my brains.

The Masters betting frenzy reminds me of that, so many "great bets", great golfers, great track.....

The 'roll is only £1,000, & I don't want to unbalance it on a single event, so I'll not be investing more than £100, £150 max, come what may.

Keep the tips coming, though, I've only used £20 + 1 bet to place (small), so we still have money to invest, & anway, others may be able to take advantage of the welter of tips for it on here.

Not much more from me today, the day job beckons.

There's something not quite right with this statement.

It made me smile though Smiley

im going to stick my neck out even further here and suggest another bet

ROBERT GARRIGUS TOP DEBUTANT MARKET US MASTERS £10 EWAY 16-1 (GENERAL 1-4 ODDS FIRST 3)

Right bradley is a deserved favourite but whether anybody should be 7-4 in a debutant market here. reasoning for robert is as follows

1. best on long yardage tracks

2. twice runner up in 2012 so in decent form

3. best results on bentgrass greens (in use here)

4. 8th in gir on tour and 7th in birdie average two of the more important stats here

personally i have backed him in this market and outright to trade but backing debutants to win at the masters will not work! this however looks a very fair bet

ON

However, have gone for "win only", £10 with Blue Square @ 16/1.

Total amount invested in US Masters so far = £30.
