I have really learnt lots from this thread and find it invaluable.
I live on my own and used to play bingo on Sky, then moved into poker and got a few small results I
often browse the forums at Sky Poker and it was through there I heard of this thread a
nd have read every single post.
I have also managed to win a nice little sum from the bets on here over the past 2 weeks or so by being selective on what information I follow.
The input from members like Dubai/The Camel/The Dazzler and Tigh End have been really good. Please keep at it guys.
Imagine how good this could be as a syndicate.
Hi, & welcome.
I don't recall ever mentioning this thread on the Forum next door, to be honest! I have to be a little careful, you understand, juggling the various hats.
Anyway, glad the thread has been helpful.

The 16th green at Augusta on Sunday usually has the pin in a friendly position and this has resulted in 7 holes in 1 in the last 8 years.
A hole in one on the 16th at anytime during the week is 9/4 with paddy or a hole in one on Sunday at any hole is 3/1. Both great value.
Back hole in one on Sunday @ 3/1
USmasters-tournament specials.

Caddy of winner for last three Masters to end on Easter Sunday all had no. 53 bib. This year's 53? Billy Foster for Lee Westwood
Now that's research.
Lol, that's uncanny. It beats the one I saw which I found amazing, Nick Faldo only had three top 10 finishes at The Masters in his career but they were all wins.
Fraser is the Nick Faldo of Dtd. He tends to win if he gets in the money

i like this as well was reading about this elsewere
personally was thinking the price might drift if (as likely) there isnt a hole in before sunday with other firms? even so statistically 3-1 is a good price

That's an interesting one, Sandy.
I'm trying to get my head round which of those two is the better value, though.
Thoughts, anyone?

If a hole in one comes it odds on it will be 16 on Sunday. The other 3 days the pin will be in much harder positions. 3/1 is better value.

72 hole match bet on Skybet. (oddschecker only lists them for this bet)
http://www.augusta.com/masters/players/bios/Angel_Cabrera.shtml?tab=scores
2/1
http://www.augusta.com/masters/players/bios/Graeme_McDowell.shtml?tab=scores
13/8
http://www.augusta.com/masters/players/bios/Martin_Kaymer.shtml?tab=scores
13/8
Don't know who priced Cabrera at 2/1 to beat McDowell and Kaymer but it's enormous. Kaymer has never made the cut here. Mcdowell only made it 1/4 and even then he was 8 behind Cabrera. Cabrera has made the cut 6 in a row and 8/11.
2/1 Cabrera to win the threesome over 72 holes. Huge price imo.

I have been told that by multiple sources, including Methuselah.
Will take a look now, ditto the hole in one bet.

9/4 anytime must be a better bet than 3/1 on Sunday.
(Not saying either is a good bet, just the 3/1 is shocking in comparison to the 9/4)

£25 @ 2/1, SkyBet.
Angel Cabrera
Tournament Trios: Graeme McDowell/Martin Kaymer/Angel Cabrera Trios 2/1 £25.00 £75.00
I'm still not quite comfy with that hole in one bet though. Let me do a dither, please.

The Cabrera bet that I was mooting on the other thread was in his day 1 threeball with McIlroy and Bubba @ 7/2+.
Incidentally, Cabrera has only ever won two tourneys in the USA, a US Open and a Masters and I was on him in both events from the start. I am also on this week although not at the tasty 240/1 I managed to secure last time.

Without checking exactly how many players make the cut, I would guess only 18-20% of the par 3 attempts will be played on Sunday.
Even allowing for the fact the pin positions might be more conducive for hole in ones on Sunday, I would think the Sunday price should be at least 3 times bigger than the any time price before you consider backing it.

I'm no cricket expert, but is the 25/1 Sri Lanka worth a dabble?
Everyone seems to think the wicket is going to deteriorate badly on the final day.. if England have to chase 100+ it might be be a problem maybe?
