Hereford have Clucas and Lunt playing in midfield. Mr. Spooner do your worst.

Position    Team    Played    Goal Difference    Points
21    Bradford    42    -6    43
22    Barnet    43    -29    40
23    Hereford    43    -24    37
24    Macclesfield    42    -20    36

I guess Macclesfield are doomed now and we need Hereford to win a game.

Really doesn't matter what happens with this Barnet bet now.  It's been a great sweat.

I'd actually forgotten that I had money on it but I spotted it in my PP account this morning. £50 at 17/2 Smiley

Brilliant tipping from Mr Camel.

Was wondering what people thought of West Brom winning today at around 11/10 against QPR.

The latter has terrible away form but are fighting for their lives with West Brom playing for nothing, however WBA's home form has been good of late winning 3 of the last four at home including the scalps of Sunderland and Chelsea. Also i feel a backclash after the embarrassing 0-4 loss to Man City at the Etihad.

I have this at more like 5/6 for the west brom win, but shoot me down if i am talking nonsense.

I have hesitated for a long time before posting this as in all likelihood this will be a losing bet,and I don't like to give out losing bets. But if we have learnt anything in this thread then it is that " value " is everything. So my recommended losing bet for today is this:

Rugby Union.  Worcester Warriors v Exeter Chiefs match to be a draw.

You can get odds of 20-1 on Betfair but 18-1 on Betfred is acceptable but use very strict bankroll management so would only say £10.

This match meets nearly all of my criteria for this type of bet. 2 closely matched teams but with the better team playing away, neither side has to win, and both teams concede and score few points so it will hopefully come down to  kicking penalties. I would rather the weather was cold and rainy but we can't always have everything in our favour.

In defence of my recommendation I will say this. I have placed draw bets on about 40 matches of rugby union/league this season and have won on 5 of them at odds of 18-1 or greater.

Daily Summary

Just the 2 bets yesterday, Collingwood - slight misread there, but fair play to Teacake for his honesty afterwards - & Wishful Thinking, which seemed aptly named.

Barnet were behind to Hereford last night, but came back to share the spoils, which was not ideal for us, but could have been worse. It's sort of up to Macclesfield or Hereford to get us home now. They play 46 games in total, & Macclesfield will entertain - I use that word loosely - Crewe today. A Macclesfield win would be rather pleasing, & it's a bit of a local derby, so you never know.

CORRECTION - "Wishful Thinking" finished 2nd. @ 15/2. Well done Vic.
