At half-time in our final AFL game of the weekend North Melbourne trail the Western Bulldogs 41-60 so we need "The Kangaroos" to get a wriggle on.

Sadly, & it seems, badly.

No way to start a Sunday, that.

By all accounts North put in their poorest performance of the season so far and the Bulldogs their best.

Its been carnage in the AFL for us this weekend!

Daily Update, as at 10.30am, Sunday 13th May

Better!

We more than halved or loss for the month yesterday, & are now in a much better spot, with plenty of forward bets which might help reduce, or wipe out completely, that loss.

The upturn came quite unexpectedly, we don't do greyhounds often, but Sky TV coverage, & Derby Heats, opened up some nice opportunities, & the comedy duo of Dubs & Channing stepped up to the plate.

We had £150 on a 2/1 winner, £100 on an even money winner, & £25 EW on a 14/1 2nd, balanced out by two £40 losers. Nice.  I think, judging by the number of people on the thraed last night, half of blonde were on the same dogs. Excellent.

Elsewhere, Jose gave us a nice play-off bet, with Huddersfield getting the job done for us, but a botched bet (by me) 0-0 on Southend cost us £25.

In the losers column, our Aussie Rules investments were a total wipeout, the less said the better, but it happens.

We had a good value boxing bet, too, but the worry was a stoppage, & thats exactly what happened.

For the future, we stuck a little on England to beat the West Indies 3-0, & "Vow" to win the Oaks, we have £25 @ 10/1.

Great day, a bunch of fun, a trading profit, & some decent bets placed.  All good.

What's coming up today?

The final day of a really enjoyable Premier League Season.

Our main bet is on Norwich to beat Villa, £50 @ 11/8 (bookiebasher) & another £50 @ 13/10 (Mr Kimber).

Some optimistic smaller bets too, QPR to be relegated (£40 @ 9/4) & Sunderland to beat Man U (DNB), £40 @ 11/2.

In Spain, we have £100 on Zaratoga @ 4/6, this evening.

Finally, in the Golf, we are clinging on hopefully with Poulter to be Top Englishman (2 shot defecit at present), & we have him each way outright @ 80/1, he needs to finish top 6 for the EW part. So not without hope, not at all.

Special good luck wishes today to Fraser, who wants QPR relegated, for a big number, & Camel, who wants QPR to stay up! All eyes on Bolton, away to Stoke, then.

The reported numbers were incorrect by £60, as I had not settled the Boxing bet, but the spready is now correct, & our Loss on the Month increases to £337.

By tonight it will be a lot more - or less.

Newcastle massive at 2/1. Listened to pardew and he said we are really going to attack then and go at then like we never have before, EVertob have local rivalry at risk where they bee to win to finish above Liverpool. But think that we should do the job and they don't have enough upfront to worry us. Would also say Ben arfa at 9/1 fgs is worth a small unit. His performance in this game last year was the best I've seen in a black and white shirt and he was rewarded with an amazing 35 harder. We have beating EVertob previously when the pressures been on and our fans are going to be v v loud.

At the risk of repeating myself I will recommend Catalan Dragons to beat Warrington in the rugby league challenge cup. £40 at evens with BetFred. We backed them to win the same fixture in the league a few weeks ago which they won by over 20 points, it will be closer today but they are worthy of support at home. Last week Catalan slightly let us down by beating Huddersfield by 7 points, who were top of the league, but we had them to win by 13 points or more.

Vive la France.

Spanish Grand Prix? Jensen looks good value @12/1. McLaren showed they have pace in qualification yet both drivers were complaining about understeer. Yesterday Hamilton reported the car was perfect and it was one of the best qualifying sessions he's driven. If the mechanics can work out the same setup for the Button car he should be able to match those times. This year seems to be a lottery, good sweat in Bahrain backing Raikkonen imo. We know Jenson has tyre management and the weather is unsettled. Any other thoughts?

Sorry Pads but I don't think 2/1 is value vs EVertob, see what the experts think though.

PS Just checked and can get 13/5 at Boyles, poss value ?

PPS I still fade it but seems close to value.
