baseball

New york mets to beat washington nationals

Mets have been in very good form of late, washington have also been doing ok, but this is mainly due to two players batting well, whereas the mets has been a collective effort from most of the team.

The pitchers- their pitcher is good but fairs very poorly against the current batter in the mets line up, going for a average of just over .3

Our pitcher- has been out from injury but in his first two games he has looked very good, the only problem is due him coming back from injury he will only pitch a max of 6 inning leaving 3 inning to the bull pen, but usually a pitcher only pitches 7 innings anyways so that isnt that much of a problem. new york bullpen have done ok so should hopefully be able to finish a hopeful good start from young

so i suggest 50 @ 2.49 with pinnacle sports

Hi Singheee.

You are on a roll with your Baseball bets, so we'll go with that.

I am still struggling to get approved by Pinnacle, so I went conventional. Then Bet365 "maxed me" @ £20, so I had £20 with Boyles as well. As I got a shade under the best price, I reduced the bet to £40 total. Thread rules, best practice, & all that.

We have the Mets @ 29/20, £20 with bet 365, & £20 with Boylesports, again @ 29/20. Both cases, Zimmerman & Young must start.

ON

Bet ref: 11/11 NY Mets (C. Young) @ 29/20
Washington (Jo.Zimmerman) v NY Mets (C. Young)
Money Line

___________

(Chris Young & J Zimmermann must start) NY Mets
Pitcher details NY Mets(C Young) @ WAS Nationals(J Zimmermann)
(Money Line) 06/06/2012 None 29/20 To Run
Stake:  20.00   To Win:  29.00   Returns:

Quite like this bet if you can get 7-4 with Stan James or Betfair

Croatia to qualify from Group C   .

Croatia have lost their star striker Olic but still have plenty of fire power up front with Evertons Jelavic ,Mandzukic and Eduardo ,The creative Modric bossing things in midfield a sturdy defence ,a great team spirit and an astute manager in Slaven Bilic.

There are 2 places out of 4 available in the group so as I dont see Ireland as a danger ,and with Spain likely to qualify (not certainties ) I see it as a straight fight for second between Croatia and an average Italian team whose squad and management have been affected by match fixing scandals and dont appear for up for a fight when things are going against them.

I recomend £80 at 7-4

Thanks Fraser.

We have £80 @ 7/4 with Stanley James Esq., Croatia to qualify from their Group.

Bad news regarding your 3-0 England in the Test series.
Weather forecast isn't good and England are bp 7/4 just to win the 3rd Test.

Such is life Snowy, we are stuck with it now, & we've had a bit of fun with it, come what may.

We may even have some action on the Third Test itself.

The UK Darts Open starts on Thursday.

Odds are here.....

http://www.oddschecker.com/other-sports/darts/uk-open/winner

There are a bunch of quirky sub-markets, too.

The thing will be televised, it runs, I think, from this Thursday - Sunday inclusive.

Thread Funds at the ready, Darts are a decent winner for the thread, but remember, we need good reason to plunge.

I like this bet but not for the same reasons, jelavic and mandzukic have worse international scoring records than me (2 in 19 and 5 in 27)

but they do have one of my all time favourite players darijo srna playing behind them, just trying to find out if he's still on penalty duties before getting on @ 16s for top croatian scorer

Say it ain't so?

PLEASE let that be a gatters "recommend".

We could have so much fun with that.

Gatso, the new MANTIS. Has a certain ring to it.

Like?

I might just throw a tenner at that bloke, down to you, for the rubs.

Singheeee's Baseball bet lost, but it did so in style, & as we had nearly 6/4 in a 2 horse race, I think it was great value.

We went 3-0 down bottom of the 5th.

2-3 down bottom of the 6th

4-3 up mid 8th

4-4 bottom of 8th.

5-4 up mid 10th

5-5 bottom of 10th

And in the 12th, it went....

6-5

6-6

6-7

Oooooohhhhhh.

Good effort Singheee, no complaints with that at all.

Daily Summary as at 0700, Wednesday June 6th

Just one completed bet yesterday, £40 on the Mets in the Baseball, which went down, but gave a good account.

We placed another Euro12 bet, too, Croatia to qualify from their Group, @ 7/4, for £80.

Whilst £225 down is not good, I think we are doing OK overall, things have been very quiet in the run-up to what will be a hectic few weeks, & we have had a little fun, just messing about with bits & bobs whilst we await the serious action.

What's coming up?

Very quiet today, the only live televised stuff being French Open Tennis, & racing from Ripon & Fairyhouse tonight on "Winning Line", so we'll mostly be keeping our powder dry.

Later this week, though, we can expect to get busy again.

UK Open Darts (Thursday, 4 nights running)

Third England - WI Test (Friday).

Rugby Union, the England - South Africa Series starts on Saturday, we are on the "series" result thanks to a Tighty Special.

Euro12 starts Friday, 2 matches every day for 12 straight days, plus all the sub-market action.

The US Open Golf, & Royal Ascot, are both round the corner, too.

Loins are being girded, whatever that means.

Euro12.

We need to be careful in betting against ourselves, though if the prices are right, in some instances it may be worthwhile cover.

Most of the action will be in singles on games, but here is our sub-market position so far.

Winner/Top Scorer.

France/Benzema, £5 @ 150/1. Josedinho.

Top Russian Scorer, Kerzhakof, £50 @ 6/1, Horneris.

Top Arsenal Goalscorer, RVP, £110 @ 8/11, Fraser.

Top Goalscorer, Llorente, £10 @ 16/1, KillerKilsby.

Top Goalscorer, Gomez, £20 @ 8/1, doubleup.

Top Denmark Goalscorer, Agger, £20 @ 16/1, horsey.

Top French Goalscorer, Benzema, £25 @ 4/1, Josedinho

Group C Qualifier, Croatia, £80 @ 7/4, Fraser.

TOTAL INVESTED SO FAR = £320.

Would like to offer my first tip to you for this quiet day Tikay Sir. You won't know me I doubt, sat 2 to your left on your first table in the last £500 deepstack with a back hoody, young kid (not that its really relevant but whatever Smiley ) My pick is Thunder -4.5 v Spurs (pinnacle will offer best juice @ 1.943 I would imagine. Pretty confident Thunder can seal the deal tonight at home with their rampant crowd that make it hell for any away team especially in a closer game in western confrence finals.

One Word, DURANT. He just keeps turning it up exactly when he needs to with some clutch shooting in 4th Q's when they need it most. Also the last 2 games especially the thunder defence has been alot better.

The only reason the game was even close in San Antonio is because of Ginobli who went off for 34pts (making alot of ridiculous shots rather than bad defence) but Parker was kept v quiet imo and if they can do that again tonight they can cruise to victory by 7-10.

Sefolosha and Ibaka have been simply immense the last 2 games both on offense and defence.

Momentum is so huge in basketball and it is all with the Thunder. They burst the 20 game Spurs win streak bubble and now have all the momentum with their best 6 players all playing very very well.

I also think seeing the Miami loss last night will make them even hungrier to get to the finals tonight.

So im pummeling Thunder -4.5 tonight. Hope you like this pick and gl if you take it!

EDIT: Also like U202 on this game, was pretty unlucky to lose the under in San Antonio imo, but not as much as Thunder -4.5 Smiley
