I didn't see the corners bet till too late but I do think it was one of the best tips this thread has seen in many a while. Well done.
Was 5/2 in running before the 1st 2nd half corner !! You must have missed it by a long way
Sandy
I saw the 5/2, in fact it went from 11/4 to 5/2 whilst I was trying to get on, but I assumed I had the wrong market, as the price was so huge. Shoot me again.

There was a comedy moment though, when the Greek chap feigned a serious ankle injury to kill time, the ref sussed it & made him go off on the stretcher, & as soon as the stretcher reached the touchline, the lad jumped straight off, right as rein.
Something really need to be done about all that nonsense, it brings no credit to anyone.

Can't believe Russia are out. Traded at 1/50 on betfair to go through
Was looking forward to a cracking next round game with them and one of the giants from Group B

Yup, it looked so good, 14 games unbeaten & all that.
Oh, the glorious uncertainty of betting!
Ah well, move on.

A slightly high price but standard corners position. Generally no worse than 4/5 and i've never seen more than 6 on the line.
Betting on corners even in the last 10/15 mins in same position (dominant team behind on score) is a great strategy.

Looks like the Monroe Boxing bet is down now, too.
Monroe suffered a really bad cut in an accidental clash of heads in the 3rd, & they stopped it immediately, on the grounds of a "Technical Draw", which I assume means we lost.
Unlucky Bazza.

EDIT - It has been settled as a "loss", but I can't find where the rules are shown. It was with BetVictor.

It was announced as a TD but as 4 rounds hadn't been completed it should have been a no contest. It was a British Title fight and we have ficked up rules so we could have been screwed here!! sick.

The BetVictor "Boxing Rules". Rules 1 & 7 appear to be the relevant ones. (My itlaics).
1. Outright Betting
All boxing matches include the draw therefore bets on either boxer is a loser if a fight ends in a draw. If a fight is declared a ‘No Contest’ all bets will be void and stakes returned, unless the outcome of the betting market has already been determined.
2. Round by Round Betting
If any fighter fails to answer the bell at the beginning of a round, the fight is deemed to have finished in the previous round for the purposes of round by round betting.
3. Postponed fights
Bets on postponed fights will stand for 30 days.
4. To Win on Points
If a points decision is awarded before the full number of rounds are completed, or a boxer is disqualified, bets will be settled on the round in which the fight was stopped. The bet 'To Win on Points' will only come into effect if the full number of rounds is completed.
5. Change to scheduled rounds
If the number of scheduled rounds for a fight is changed, all bets will be void, and new prices will be issued.
6. Championship/Belt Betting
If the championship or belt being fought over is changed in any way, all bets stand so long as the competitors are the same and the original number of rounds is still fought.
7. Settlement of Bets
Bets will be settled on the official result given in the ring after the bout has concluded, and will not be affected by any future appeals or amendments (unless the amendment was made as a result of a human error made when announcing the result)
8. Tournament Betting
For tournament betting (e.g Prizefighter, Super 6), all bets will stand on any boxer who starts the tournament. If a fighter withdraws after taking any part in the tournament, he will be settled as a loser.

In the US Open, I think we my have peaked too soon.
They are all fairly early in their rounds - less than halfway - but the top 5 are all tied at 1 over - & we have 4 of them, Woods, Furyk, McDowell, & 3G!
