If Murray wins on Sunday, our whole book is sunk, is it not?

I've got my Swiss flag out already.

What has our previous book got to do with the value or not on Sunday?

Fwiw  I don't think he wins SPOTY even if he wins on Sunday.  Too much of a marmite character.  Lots of people have him all wrong obv, but leave that to another day.

Ennis, wiggins etc just don't have the haters Murray has.

Haters are irrelevant; they can't ring up with a negative vote.
What percentage of the Scottish population would vote for him if he won Wimbledon?

A recap of who we have for SPOTY at what prices please, custodian

Ennis, Greene, Ainslie....?

27-May   Simon Galloway   PaddyPower   Dec.   Misc.   BBC Sports Personality 2012     Ben Ainslie   16/1   £25
29-May   Chompy   Bodog   Dec   Misc.   BBC Sports Personality 2012     Jessica Ennis   5/1   £62.5
29-May   TightEnd   Boylesports   Dec   Misc.   BBC Sports Personality 2012     Dai Greene   66/1   £10

Quite restrained really.

Ben Ainsle a candidate for the worst bet we've had?

I agree with the if Murray wins camp, its not all over. Definitely some other top performances from people with personality that could upsurp him, even if he did win. Hopefully they'll push Daly out a little, and make the place even better value. Hes 2/1 to place on BF although the market has no liquidity at all. (1.5k staked) I'd have half a stake on him now, and half after, but doesn't really matter

Some minuscule percentage clearly.  Would love to know the real power of the alleged scots vote.   Probably not nearly as pronounced as people assume.  And is he even that popular up there?

I think the clear bet is back him Sunday lay him for SPOTY.  That is what I have done anyway.  On bf the betting suggests he is a shoe in if he wins Wimbledon.  Olympic year, wiggins poss Tour de France win etc.

I refer you to my question above about the relevance of our previous book.

Is there a more fascinating betting event than SPOTY?  I spend way too much time thinking about it.  Fwiw I think he is a lay after Sunday if he wins.  In fact you wouldn't do too badly in general laying everyone after they have won something for SPOTY.  In recent years you couild have layed Dettori at 10/1 after he won the derby amongst other absolute crackers.

Was Dettori even eligible?

Banzai ?

Kobayashi for pole in GP, 80-1 Sporting bet. (oddschecker lists this at 40,s client is 80)

Has a chance if it's raining, guy is a wizard in the wet. He got 35 laps in in today's practice while the field barely came out of their garages, means little obv, but best lap was 2nd only to Hamilton by .129 of a second. This was on intermediates and Kobayashi said it was too wet for them.

Absolutely no chance if it's dry so wait and see for weather obv. (wetter the better)

Double with the win pays 32k for a £10 bet, epic laying potential if he can bink pole.

Pole/winners have been a lottery this season obv, throwing it away ?

What do you reckon Tighty ?

Some bookies are doing offers relating to Hamilton and/or Button doing well on Sunday.
Does this add much value?

Dunno what a Dillis is, but looks like a related bet to me, so you aren't ever getting 32k for a tenner

Kobayashi throwing it away. Would be disappointed if thread had a gp bet at all in these conditions. It's a bookies benefit.
