Tonight Warrington v Catalan @
golf
Rugby League
This is a huge match for Warrington. They are 2nd in the league and need to win this to stay there. A couple of months ago we backed Catalan in the reverse fixture and saw them stroll in by 24 points. This will be a different ball game. Warrington rested several players last week and were humbled at Salford. Tonight I expect Warrington to be ruthless. Catalan had 3 players playing for the exiles and they remained in this country afterwards so Catalan have not trained as a team this week. Warrington have already beaten Catalan this season, in the Challenge Cup, so they will have no fear this evening.
I have checked the weather forecast and it should be dry tonight in Warrington.
At 2-9 there is little to be won with a straight Warrington win but I like the look of Evs on Warrington to win by 13+ points with Blue Sq. The 11/10 with W Hill was better but that has just gone. Recommend £30.
Looks an interesting bet.
Certainly Catalan Dragons will be under-strength and Warrington should be near full strength looking to make amends after last week.
13+ seems like a bit margin, though.
I'm going to wait until the TV coverage starts before deciding.
If Cardace is playing opposite Joel Monaghan I'd be keen to back Monaghan to score; sadly best odds of 8/13.
Monaghan is 9/2 to score a hat-trick with SkyBet (the only firm offering this market).
The hat-trick prices never seem very generous to me.
Any other comments?

One for JaffaCake after the discussion on here
Uruguay's olympic squad includes Suarez and Cavani
Uruguay Olympic squad:
Goalkeepers: Martin Campana (Cerro Largo), Leandro Gelpi (Penarol)
Defenders: Sebastian Coates (Liverpool), Diego Polenta (Genoa), Ramon Arias (Defensor Sporting), Alexis Rolin (Nacional), Emiliano Albin (Penarol).
Midfielders: Egidio Arevalo Rios (Palermo), Nicolas Lodeiro (Ajax), Matias Aguirregaray (Palermo), Gaston Ramirez (Bologna), Maximiliano Calzada (Nacional), Diego Rodriguez (Defensor Sporting)
Forwards: Luis Suarez (Liverpool), Edinson Cavani (Napoli), Abel Hernandez (Palermo), Jonathan Urretaviscaya (Vitoria Guimaraes), Tabare Viudez (Nacional)
Stand-by: Alejandro Silva (Fenix), Marcelo Silva (Penarol), Federico Pintos (Defensor Sporting), Martin Rodriguez (Wanderers)
Brazil 2 Coral
Spain 5/2 Blue Square
Uruguay 8 Bodog
Great Britain 8 William Hill
Switzerland 12 Sky bet
I can't be having our team at 8-1, the question is whether Urug/Swiss is worth the punt at 4 times the prices of the the two favourites..............
Urug/Swiss are in the half of the draw that avoids Brazil and Spain until the semis

I have had a proper look at this this mornign and I made Uruguay 7/2. Proper head down punt for me on this one.

They are 6/4 to win the group including Great Britain, Senegal and the UAE.

I'll have to refer that one to tikay.
I'm sure that it will be fine, though.

Former #Saints captain Claus Lundekvam tells Norwegian media he and "several other" players and clubs bet on own matches and incidents.
At #Saints we would put money on first throw-in. Often many players together; we gave the money to the kit manager to place the bet..
We would then make a deal with a player in the opposition team that the player who kicked off the game would pass it to a defender who would play a long ball and then a defender (in our team) would kick the ball out for a throw-in. A pretty normal start of a game, really.

On.
I really have no clue how good a bet this is.
However, since tikay will be back in charge by time this matures, it will be his problem.

Never seen the Wimbeldon clip? where the ball leaves the pitch in about 3 seconds? Lol

Was that the Paul Kitson one? I've seen that.
Wasn't saying it was a massive shock, just found it interesting.
Wish you could still bet on first throwing, first corner sometimes takes too long.

+1. The South Americans take it very seriously and have good youth setups etc which is important. Their overage players are as good as any squads imo and they have a great draw for the outright bet. I can't have Spain on my mind at the price and the GB squad is a ridiculous price based on who they have picked and the question marks about Daniel Sturridge. Basically everything points to Uruguay being very good value. To roughly 100% I would bet:
9/4 Brazil
3/1 Spain
7/2 Uruguay
12/1 Switzerland
20/1 GB
8/1 The field

Yeah I've backed Brazil @ 5/2 and Uruguay @ 8/1. Would have to make Brazil more like 9/5 myself. Issues in defence perhaps (although arguably the best centre back in the world in Thiago Silva is back in after missing the 4-3 defeat to Argentina) but on paper the midfield/attack looks absurd.
Cmon the South Americans!
