France battering Norway on the handball. Fred is an abs bok I'm sure of it, takes massive faves and turns them into also rans

Lol, go away Mr K.

Apparently they're without their best player, who is under witness protection, following suspicion of a stalker from a poker forum.

At half-time. Norway 12 France 17.

France seem to have a rather physical approach to the game.

I'm hoping that it's a league format rather than a knock-out. Smiley

That's ok, Norway can bounce back, they are much fitter, I gather.

On the plus side, I have a new Fred favourite, to rival the blondey but up by the fella with the blonde (ish) hair. Meet Norway's right back Amanda Kurtovic. She'd do a job. For any handball team needing a right back, obv

13-8, and Baxter has just hit his second 180. Not dead yet, but he needs to get a wriggle on pretty sharpish.

Is Mantis the sort of guy who would complain about the quality of the singer in the next room, then spend the next ten mins singing along to the Buble-alike in a Conway Twitty drawl, despite being a local?

If so, I think he is to my right.

Ah fair enough. Have managed to dodge staying in the tournament anyway. One more leg of Taylor lipstick battering and I can request handball. Is it still going btw?

Bonus extra for scotty.

I doubt you, or any other blondes have memories that stretch back to the great Patricias Hope, (maybe Karabiner excepted, but he probably remembers Mick the Miller), who I just mentioned.

So here's the extraordinary story of what was, for me, the greatest Greyhound I ever saw. Let's not argue or debate about "greatest" by the bye, it does not matter a jot. To me, that's the memory though, I doubt I ever saw a greyhound more courageous & full of heart.

And no, I never backed it on either occasion. See, my timing always was shite.

Take a read of this, please.....

And here is Hopey.

I never saw Patricia's Hope and TBH I didn't really follow greyhound racing that closely at that time as it was just another excuse to gamble in those days anyhow, but my main excuse for not knowing about him or ever seeing the hound was that I went to live in Canada in 1971 not returning until late 1978.

My dad used to own a few greyhounds before the war in Cardiff where he grew up and spoke to me often of MickThe Miller. Cardiff was one of greyhound racing's premier tracks in those days.

Olympic Tennis - Sunday

Jurgen Melzer to beat Marin Cilic @ 4.1 (or bigger in the morn?) - Betfair

Cilic was bagelled last week by Tommy Haas and a courtside commentator said "He looks well in need of a rest after his recent run". I'm not totally convinced a week will be enough.

Melzer played well in the doubles today seeing off Murray/Murray with his fellow Austrian Peya and tweeted recently about the tough warm ups hes been partaking in, in preparation for this event and he seems to be on good terms with the game again: ""Thanx to @adidastennis @darren_cahill and Gil for the last 9 days. It was very tough practice but I enjoyed every bit of it!!!".

The H2H is 5-2 Cilic but 2-2 in the last few years. The only meeting on grass was 7-6 7-6 to Cilic, very close.

Think this one is worth a few quid.
