Bradley Wiggins looks awfully short at < 1/2.

Thoughts?

Problem is how fit Cancellara is.  I have backed Tony Martin but no idea if it is the best approach but just don't know enough to find a rag.  think it is an event where you just have to have a bet though as wiggins must be too short and Cancellara is now opposable.  No doubt there is a really good long odds bet though.  Even half tempted by Froome.

I guess my knowledge of cycling is < than yours.

FWIW I decided to back Martin too.

Went to Wembley tonight for the GB women's game. they played really well, solid centre halves, skillful centre forward, some nice touches in midfield and a leftback that keeps scoring. But they have some real glaring weaknessess, the rightback is pretty bad on the ball, the midfield as a whole is positionally naive and not solid enough, far too many times one pass led to the defence being outnumbered. The left winger has no defensive awareness and the centre forward looks old and short of pace, tho good on the ball.

I think there's probs gonna be a gamble on GB by patriotic punters now, I'm not sure where the value is, laying them or backing another team. Brazil will have drifted, but they didn't look that great. Got the feeling tho Martha had an offday and if she lights it up she can be like Messi for Barca. Not seen enough of the USA, anyone been watching their games?

The USA team is a class apart. The other team that I've been impressed with are France who are now in the other half of the draw to USA and GB.
http://www.london2012.com/football/event/women/brackets.html

Marta is past her prime and rarely produces the goods nowadays so I don't rate Brazil very highly.

I couldn't find any markets for backing France to make the final specifically and the e/w bet doesn't appeal. Backing France to win a medal looks good to me but the Betfair market is next to dead.

Having looked at the latest world rankings, England have 1966 points - an omen?

According to oddschecker a couple of firms offering ew still.  1/3 odds first two.  6/1 best e/w price as far as I can see with sportingbet.

Hoping Wiggins wins it but had a nibble on Vinokourov and may do Van Garderen too (he's only available on betfair so need to check he will line up)
If Martin and Cancellara aren't right after their injuries then medal positions might be relatively open.

Stewards Inquiry

Fred Member Singheeee is duly summoned to appear before the Fred Elders to explain his conduct.

He gave us a Baseball Bet last night which lost.

This is unacceptable.

If you get a mo, can you give us a few tips for tonight's Sussex Cup Greyhound racing from Hove, which is televised?

They do not need to be Fred Tips, these are just so I can have a little off-thread punt.

Thanks.

Love Sky Dogs, here's my thoughts on this evening, for anyone looking to bet blind and for debate amongst other followers.

7:40 - Early pace looks to come from traps 3 and 4 and whilst I'm a sucker for early pace I am opposing the early this time and plumping for T1 Westmead Adonis @ 5/2. Trap 4 is far too short for me at 7/4 and don't think it can lead T3 anyway, whilst T2 being a middle seed can lead to issues with it moving right out the boxes.  Looks like it'll open up for the Derby finalist Westmead Adonis who ran on well over the 480 at Wimbledon and should go well over 515 here. The dog has been in good form since the Derby too, with 5 wins from 6. Possible negative is that this will be it's first look at Hove.

8:00 - Good, but tough, race and my record over longer distances has been poor, sometimes not reading the races right. Would normally be a no bet but since it's on TV I think T6 King Gemma is the value at 7/1. Has ran well over the 687 at Wimbledon and think it could be a player here too.

8:15 - Puppy Final and Farloe Tango is unbackable for me at 4/11 from trap 1.  I'm trying T6 Ballymac Tobias @ 6/1 who can take a length or two out of these at the start and is the value alternative to the favourite.  4:11, 4:10 and 4:08 are its last 3 sectionals over this trip with nothing else getting close to that and whilst the favourite may pick it off we can hope for trouble in behind.  I prefer my whole stake on the win, but EW could play here too potentially.

8:35 - Fernhill Jess made me a good bit on Derby Final night where we got a cracking price and tonight it renews its battle with Dynamo Joe who it held off last week. Two runner race really and haven't been able to make a decision, no bet.

8:50 - Bubbly Capel is an awesome marathon dog but doesn't always win and I won't be backing it at even money.  Instead we should back T6 Charleys Lucy @ 10/1 who broke the 893 record at Coventry two runs back and more recently picked up Aero Gaga (T1 tonight) over the same distance.

9:10 - Silverview Perky has proven to be the top bitch in the country recently but at 4/11 is no value here and I've went for T1 Scramble @ 10/1 who can lead them round and the 29:77 from the 15th of July could prove good enough to hold off Perky who looks like it'll have first run on Scramble.

9:25 - Running out of time, have MMA class at 7.  Backing T6 Blonde Reagan @ 5/1.

9:45 - At the moment I'm prefering T6 Airlie Impact @ 6/4 over the 1 dog but wouldn't back it any shorter than that price.  Currently 9/4 for T1 and can't really put anyone off backing it.  Very keen to hear other opinions on this race.

Thanks for taking the time to Post that scotty, much appreciated.

I slung £20 singles at most of them, & got out of it with Blonde Reagan (6/1), so I had a bit of fun at no cost.

For jollie backers, it must have been a painful night!

Daily Report as at 07.05 Wednesday August 1st

Just 2 completed bets yesterday, both losers, boo.

We had £10 on a Goodwood horse, & £40 on a Baseball game which struck out, think it is only the 2nd or 3rd loser Singheee has given us in around 14 bets.
