I can't see this one causing any controversy.
About time we had a tip for the happiest member of team GB and firmest supporter of the Union.
The tip is for the South East's finest tennis player, Andy Murray to beat Novac Djokovic in the semi final of the Olympic tennis tournament.
I have seen precisely one of Djoko's maches this week and he looked a little out of sorts losing to some Italian or other, he then lost a set to an ageing Australian. He appears to have played better in a couple of matches, but that doesn't support my argument, so we will gloss over them.
By contrast the Nation's beloved Pitt Bull has only struggled in the one match
I had a look at the stats for tighty and they looked good, though I can't bring myself to explain how his 2nd serve has improved using stats going back 5 seasons.
In addition, he doesn't have that great big stinking grand slam monkey on his back in this tournament and he looks just the type to be lifted by the sight of some two bit member of the Royal Family supporting him courtside.
You can lay Djoko at 1.52 on betfair, which looks the way to go.
Do it for Queen, country and tikay's thread Andy, let's bring the Nation together in one happy snarlathon.
GB GB GB
Morning Doobsy.
I'm not very good with Betty, & I need a little help with that, or I will ask Mere to do it for me.
How much are you suggesting we should lay?
Also, I'll be Offline most of the day, will the bet need "managing"? You know, greening out & stuff?
No greening needed.
The bet has a 2 way outcome so laying djoko is effectively the same as backing Murray. The best effective price was laying djoko. The same holds true this morning. So if you lay djoko at 1.54 you effectively get a better price (2.85 vs 2.84). Laying for a hundred is the same as backing for about £50. I think that is the right size
Gotcha. I think.
Hope I have done this right.
We have laid Djokovic on Betfair, £100 @ 1.54, v Andy Murray.
ON
Novak DjokovicMatch Odds 1.54 £100.00 £54.00

No, because you suggested, as I recall, that he was near unbackable this week, & I was a bit busy, so I never bothered looking.
I'm pretty sure Dr Noh can & will give us a whole bunch of future sweats at decent prices, proper grinder him, & a great spot by you.
My off-thread golf bets this week were all in the Bridgestone, I have Hunter, Dustin, Bubba & Oosty for my weekend fix.

I think Nole will win gold
Can you, err, expand upon that a tad?
Who is Nole, & what exactly does he do rather well?
Nole= Novak Djokovic.
He is a rather good Mens tennis player and Brent believes he will be Murray in the semi and win the final.

It's hard to justify backing a 21year old to win when they are in their first season on the US tour and have not yet won on it. As he was also 2nd favourite it did seem a bad price, not bad enough to stop me having a bit on him though. I am inclined to think he is a bit of a birdie machine and would do well in matchplay. If he qualifies for next seasons Accenture he could be a lively outsider.
I will be looking to support 3G soon when he gets to a more suitable course, I think he is due another win before the end of the season.

I agree with Brent, no way Murray beats him!

Moves afoot to change lanes for the rowing today to give the best qualifiers the most advantageous lanes.

Hence my concern as to the "Rubbish" recommend. I was pretty sure that was an option, so betting at this stage is perilous at best.
Thanks Sandy.

I believe it was always an option, Tom, hitherto not exercised, as I Posted earlier.

I think Murray is the value, he doesn't. Laying was right if you were following me.

For clarity (eventually), Brent thinks Novak will win, Doobs goes for Murray.
I went with Doobs, but never realised what Brent was saying.
It is what it is, we went with Doobs/Murray.
May the best man win & all that....
