In a word no. He seemed to tire badly won 20-16 and id say the judges did us a bit of a favour. Hopefully now he has got that fight out of the way he will show some improvement (he has had a long wait due to a 1st round bye)We will need some very favourable judging to get this one home if he keeps fighting like that.

Very honest summary, thanks.
If favourable judging is required, we might just be ok the way things have been going.....

She is a lay at 9-2. And it's not even close, I'd recommend the max
She can be laid at shorter than 4/1 now!

Well we are definitely in much better shape than we were a few days ago!
I am sure I can recall a whole Olympics where we managed just one Gold, not that long ago either., maybe 20 years?

Volleyball update: USA lost to Russia (still group stages, USA were 2-0 and match point up and someone told them I was on..)
As a result, Ladbrokes have cut USA from 4/1 to 3/1 for the outright winner market, no price yet for the podium but we could take an educated guess from the winners market...
Would have happily paid the asking price for a Cat A ticket to this one, so tilting to see Earl's Court half empty and no tickets available.
As for the game itself, USA were lucky to win the first set, Russia made umpteen unforced errors. The setter who previously had marshalled the fast combinatorics to ruthless effect against Brazil now suddenly decided to play a slower tempo basic high ball game against the monstrous Russian block. Not smart. His distribution choices at the net were not the best
Anyway, for the podium bet, will wait and see what the quotes are, but I am expecting them to confirm that the original market was mis-priced considerably.

Jess Ennis @ 16-1 for 100m hurdles? Any value here?
1-2 favourite is Australian, which makes her an insta-lay at that price. Sir Steve said as much, sort of.

Only two people have run faster than Ennis this year.

And was the setter a redhead?
