Ivan Dychko @ 6/1 with to win Super-Heavy gold. He has been the most impressive fighter on show by a distance. His footwork and movement are on a different level to the other 3 fighters left. He faces the hype machine that is Joshua next and there is the chance that we will get done in the scorecards but even taking that in to consideration Dychko is way too big at 6/1.

Thanks Bazza. How much are you suggesting?

Decided to go ahead, in case we miss the price.

i got on!

the website is very hard to read with the report saying they may struggle to qualify but then showing a pool table that they are top of there group

Don't fancy our chances now with the train-stopper on board... Smiley

QFs are on Weds (I have tix to all 4 games) and we got a reasonably safe route to the Semis via Italy - no pushover but can't complain... yet!

thanks simon

presumably there is a  3rd/4th place play off if needs be?

Think you might have read the basketball bet wrong Tikay. Jaffa said they'll now meet USA in the semis whilst the hope was that they'd avoid having to play them until a potential final. If Brazil lose to USA then they'll still have a crack at the bronze medal match, whereas if they'd avoided USA they would technically have two cracks at beatable opposition for a medal rather than just the one.

What's coming up?

First up today is Women's HANDBALL.......

Norway play this morning, at 10am, v Brazil. I believe we are in the knockout stages now, so I guess we need to win this.

http://www.london2012.com/handball/event/women/match=hbw400301/index.html

Norway are decent favourites to win this morning's encounter.....

http://www.oddschecker.com/olympics/handball/womens/brazil-women-v-norway-women/winner

As to the Gold Medal itself, the Market sems to be all over the place. We are on at 7/4.

http://www.oddschecker.com/olympics/handball/womens/winner

We need someone to Update the thread whilst it takes place, please, we have high hopes of Norway.

Tonight, covered Live on Sky Sports, we have the Greyhound Puppy Derby Final.

The runners are....

http://www.racingpost.com/greyhounds/card.sd#resultDay=2012-08-07&raceId=1177568

Thanks to scotty2hatty, we are on Whittle Murtagh (T3), at £15 @ 12/1, currently quoted at a general 3/1, so we have decent value there.

http://www.oddschecker.com/greyhounds/wimbledon/21:45

Loks a good card at Wimbledon tonight, so we may yet have further interest.

ECB40 cricket is on telly, too, Warwickshire Bears v Yorkshire Carnegie, though this seems to attract little betting interest.

Masters Tennis from Toronto continues, too, in the Canadian Open/Canadian Masters/Rogers Cup or whatever.

A reminder too that the PGA Golf Championship, the season's final Major, starts on Thursday. The Course looks easy......

Yup, that makes more sense.

I have that many bets & sports spinning round in my head right now.....just tell me when we win or lose, that will make things easier.

And there was me hoping to get the Report right for once today. Wink

Our pup needs to lead up, which is easier said than done with Warhawk inside us. To be honest, I didn't expect Warhawk's early to be as good as it has been. It'll be tough but hopefully Whittle can ping and win.

£25 is spot on.

Also with regards to the earlier Stalker bet thus far every British boxer has improved after their first fight which is a promising sign.

Well we have 12/1 about a 3/1 shot, so we can't complain whatever happens.

If you see any standout bets on the card, maybe you'll let us know, even if only for off-thread purposes.

Lovely, got something right at last!

Can you remind us when Tom Stalker & Mr Dychko next box, please, so we can follow the action?

I admit I didn't check that, but surely they wouldn't give a bronze on countback or something?  Although, that would probably be in our favour too as group winners...

So, yes we MUST beat Italy and then either win the semi or win the 3rd/4th place playoff to be good.  Likely to be semi v Brazil and bronze v Bulgaria if need be.

The QF draw puts Russia v Poland... both of those teams were 1/4 for a medal..... anyone on large there has a proper sweat.

As for USA, they are somehow back to 4/6 and I have only just got up, but I think I'm prolly going in again.....

Thread's £40 on Norway in the women's handball looking a lot worse than the players.
Down 13-9 half-time in, ahem, our quarter-final v Brazil.
Don't know the rules, but watching intently on live stream. Come on, girls!

Whoops.

I don't know the Rules, either, but I'm pretty sure we need to score more than the other lot.

Keep us informed, please.
