How in the world is Ennis at 12s for SPOTY? This is a huge overeaction to MO winning Gold. Before the Olympics both Ennis and Farah were priced if they both won there respective Gold medals. Nothing in that regard has changed.
The amount of exposure Jessica Ennis is going to get over the next 4 months is just going to be ridiculous. Can see there prices being reversed on the night.

Think Farah has done a bit more than just 'win his respective medal'
Mo is a double Olympic champion, something that has never been done with the 5/10k and he's only the 7th of all time to do so. Jess is the poster girl of the games, she won her event convincingly and is definitely the more widely known athlete to this point.
I think the exposure that Mo is going to get over the next few months off the back of the last couple weeks is bigger. The fact he's about to become a father to twins coupled with the sheer enormity of what he has achieved will ensure if anything it overshadows Jessica's victory in the Heptathlon.
All just my views and I quite possibly could be wrong. I'm not that well versed in matters such as this, but it's how it looks to me as joe public so to speak
The whole thing has been captivating and I'm absolutely gutted it's almost over

Daily Report as @ 0600, Sunday August 12th
Another quiet day with no new bets being placed.
Norway's women beat Montenegro 26-23 in the final of the handball to bring home Rubbish2407's tip.
Mo Farah won the 5000m to boost his chances in SPOTY. Fred has not backed him.
scotty2hatty's tip for the Irish Greyhound Derby, Sawpit Sensation, is through to the next round.
Deana's odds shortened in Big Brother and she is favourite to win again so I'm starting to get worried about our BB guru's insights. Luckily Fred hasn't laid Deana.
The US PGA was abandoned for the day with the leaders still having half of round 3 to play.
I closed the bets on our two runners who failed to make the cut.
Finally, in the medal table, GB&NI have 28 gold medals which is 7 clear of Russia in 4th place.

What's coming up?
GB&NI have two boxers fighting for gold medals today; Freddie Evans at welterweight and Anthony Joshua at super-heavyweight.
http://www.london2012.com/boxing/schedule-and-results/day=12-august/index.html
I think that Russia can only win 5 gold medals today so Tighty's gold medal bet is locked-up. Nice one.
The English football season kicks off with the Charity Shield match between Man. City and Chelsea.
England name their squad for the third test against South Africa. Will it contain Kevin Pietersen?
In tennis, the Rogers Cup continues.
The U19 cricket world cup continues.
In cycling, the Eneco tour concludes.
The USPGA concludes although our interests have long since packed their bags.

Any opinions on this market? Basically season long bets on players bagging a Premiership hat trick.
http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/to-score-a-hat-trick
Sounds like a fun sort of bet to sweat each week, although some of the prices appear a bit skinny to get too excited about. Makes sense as it's the kind of market the bookies usually rinse people on.
I can't remember what price they tend to stick players like Rooney/Aguero in as for hat tricks against lower opposition, but that would help to try and work it out.
Moving on then
Why don't they offer both sides of bets like this?

I don't think I can recommend bets, but........
In today's Community Shield, (Man City v Chelea, @ Villa Park), 8/11 is available for BOTH teams to score, which I assume to be within 90 minutes.
In 8 of the last 10 renewals, both Teams have scored.
The match has the feel of one where both teams might just go for it, & both are well capable of scoring if their Managers make the decision to attack.
Are there any maths gurus out there who can put a view on that price (8/11), good or bad?

Rory Mac is currently 12.5 on BF and only one off the lead. Suggest 25quid. Gives Fred a golf sweat!
Go Rory!

Lol, Fred decided to blank it. Fred's Grandad backed it though.
Fred is sitting quietly whilst the Olympics sadly come to an end, & then thats it, we get ready to start winning some money on the football. We hope.

Looking forward to my first football season following Fred.
Is there value in football markets? I assumed that these would be watched so closely that there would be little to offer the punters. Or is it the case that there are so many markets - and so many bad punters - that Value Town is a poor twin?

Not sure I saw mention of it on this thread, Iron, sorry.
Doubt we would have got on, the price must have been very skinny.
