Don Vito in goal for Arsenal again  tomorrow can he possibly keep two clean sheets in a row?

I seem to be consigned to watching games through two sets of fingers this season..

Arse-nil

Happy with that if you are referring to conceded.

Don Vito is a boss and Brendan will be swimming with the fishes.

eeeek!!!

Corner taken by Kevan Hurst, Britt Assombalonga finds the back of the net with a headed goal from deep inside the penalty area. Southend 1-0 Wycombe.Assist on the goal came from Ryan Cresswell. Inswinging corner taken left-footed by Kevan Hurst from the left by-line, save by Nikki Bull.

Just seen this goal.

Feel like I've had money taken from my pocket.

Ridiculous goal line clearance.

I have just logged on to post the same thing. Was unreal he managed to keep it out given he hardly touched it.

2.0 the under 2.5 in the Liverpool/Arsenal game?

Feels like a mug bet, but it looks pretty tempting nonetheless.

The Irish Derby Semis were last night, can't help but feel that Sawpit would have made the final. It's disappointing that he was withdrawn with such a freak accident.

Another one I gave TfT for the Irish Derby, Beany Tunes, has made the Derby Plate Final - I bet we would have got a price there. Think it was a 4 round competition.

Daily Report as @ 0835, Sunday September 2nd

We lost £115 yesterday.

5 aged bets completed, all 5 of them went down.

Sussex, CB40, £30

Cresswell, First GS, £20

Cresswell, Anytime GS, £20

Connacht (RU), £40

Bubba Watson, £5

We placed NO new bets.

After much debate, we decided that the football was too tricky, & there was no identifiable value, so we swerved the lot. Word on the street was that the Bookies had an excellent day on the football yesterday. I think our decision showed great discipline.

Cycling

Our man continues to impress, see the report by our Cycling corrys, Tonji & Longy.

He is 22 seconds ahead of Contador, & 1m 41secs ahead of Froome.

http://www.lavuelta.com/

The betting market suggests that Froome is out of it (40/1), & it is a two horse race between Rodriguez & Contador, both of whom are quoted as co-favourites at 10/11. We have £10 @ 14/1.

http://www.oddschecker.com/other-sports/cycling/vuelta-a-espana/winner

The race has one week remaining, it ends on Sunday of next week.

F1

Our chap, Raikkonen, qualified in 4th, a slight disappointment, but it was a very odd front 4, with Jensen button taking his first pole in 50 races, with a Sauber & a Williams between him & Raikkonen.

Reading between the lines, it could be construed that Lewis Hamilton was less than impressed with his Team.

"Jenson has the new rear wing on, I have the old," tweeted Hamilton. "We voted to change, didn't work out. I lose 0.4 seconds just on the straight."

The tweet was later removed from Hamilton's profile.

It was one of a succession of tweets about his disappointment following qualifying and his determination to make amends in the race. Some of the tweets, which contained swear words or colloquial language, have been removed.

Golf

In the Omega Masters, we have Brandon Grace (10 EW @ 50/1) but he is 10 shots behind the leader, who is Richie Ramsay. Word is that some shrewd & well-advised punters are on Richie @ 25/1, good luck them.

In the Deutsche Bank golf, despite saying Bye Bye Bubba, we still have two good sweats.

Snedeker is probably out of it, 9 shots behind the leader, but Dufner (£5 @ 20/1) is right up there, 3 behind the leader, who is McIllroy.

We also have Dr Noh, in our "Top Korean" wager (£32 @ 15/8).  It was a 4 man field, two of whom, Wi & Choi, missed the cut, so we are now heads up with Sang-Moon, who is on -1, with Dr Noh on a wonderful NINE under, so we have a huge cushion. However, there are two days remaining, & last weekend there was a huge flip-flop on Day 4, so Noh counting chickens yet.

http://www.pgatour.com/r/leaderboard/

Very best of luck to those who are on Rory & Oosty, of course.

Robin Van Persie is 23/20 to score at anytime today wtih VC. I think he should be odds on and is with the majority of bookies. No Rooney so he will be the main striker and I imagine he'll be on penalties too. Might be worth an interest.
Sorry not been keeping up with the thread as much (it moves so fast!) so not sure where we are in terms of bet sizing.
I guess we'll only be on if others agree so I'll leave it to them to suggest stakes.

What’s coming up?

We already have 4 interests in F1, Cycling, & Golf, two of which complete today.

Cricket.

The fourth ODI between England & South Africa takes place at Lords, & we can but hope that spectators will not arrive dressed as clowns or whatever in such a dignified & traditional arena.

South Africa are 4/5, England 11/10.

http://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/england-v-south-africa/england-v-south-africa-odis/england-v-south-africa-[4th-odi]/winner

Young Hashim is 11/4 to be top South Africa batsman bloke…..

http://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/england-v-south-africa/england-v-south-africa-odis/england-v-south-africa-[4th-odi]/top-south-africa-batsman

Rugby Union

London Welsh take on Leicester Tigers – (who are a specialist subject for Tighty) in a game which will be televised on Sky Sports.

Leicester are slight favourites.

http://www.oddschecker.com/rugby-union/club-rugby/aviva-premiership/london-welsh-v-leicester/winner

Football

Liverpool take on Arsenal in what may be an anti goal-fest, televised on Sky Sports, 1.30 Kick off.

Evens Liverpool, 3/1 Arsenal is the intriguing betting situation.

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/liverpool-v-arsenal/winner

In the goal market, as already suggested by Camel & reds, under 2.5 can be had at Evens……

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/liverpool-v-arsenal/over-under-2.5

That is followed by Southampton v Man Utd….

Southampton can be had at 6/1, United 3/5.

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/southampton-v-man-utd/winner

In Scottish football, it seems strange to mention a THIRD division match involving Rangers, who take on Elgin. Rangers are 1/10, Elgin 20/1.

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/scottish/division-3/rangers-v-elgin/winner

Rugby League.

More lop-sided Televised action, when the Wildcats take on the Vikings……

http://www.oddschecker.com/rugby-league/club-rugby/super-league/wakefield-v-widnes/winner

Add in two Spanish Football matches, one involving Real Madrid, the other Barcelona, & blanket coverage of the US Open Tennis, and sports fans will have more than their fill of action today. Problem is, what to watch?

Thanks.

Wow - he is as low as 8/13 in some places.

Think I might take a flyer, & try & get on at 23/20 before it goes.

£40 sound reasonable?

Some good news you may have missed.  Maldonado got a penalty so our man is up to 3rd on the grid.

I think we should back Button for the race too.  Have checked the weather and it looks fine, so hopefully we won't get any of the fairly frequent sparing. He seems to have very good pace this weekend and it seems that McLaren have an edge with the new wing.  He is the kind of driver who shouldn't ruin his tyres.  I have taken the 2.42 on betfair but boylesports have 7/5 for those with accounts.

Seems to be a win/win bet, it looks a really solid bet to me and gives us a much better chance of not booking another formula 1 losing weekend.

Please not I haven't got a real fancy formula 1 style weather radar, I have just chucked spa Belgium in the BBC site and can see a white cloud and a bit of sun.

A F1 bet? Edgy stuff! You are correct, I was not aware of the penalty.

Detailed weather forecast too - "one white cloud & a bit of sun". Tighty will be so jealous.

Thing is, do we risk digging our F1 hole deeper?.....

Thoughts, anyone?

Remember we already have £15 Raikkonen @ 5/1.

How would we size such a bet, given that?

Before you bet on the unders please be aware that Don Vito is in goal again today.

He was actually quite solid last weekend but he wasn't really put under any pressure...
