Before you bet on the unders please be aware that Don Vito is in goal again today.

He was actually quite solid last weekend but he wasn't really put under any pressure...

 scared

And THAT is from a Gooner......

Some good news you may have missed.  Maldonado got a penalty so our man is up to 3rd on the grid.

I think we should back Button for the race too.  Have checked the weather and it looks fine, so hopefully we won't get any of the fairly frequent sparing. He seems to have very good pace this weekend and it seems that McLaren have an edge with the new wing.  He is the kind of driver who shouldn't ruin his tyres.  I have taken the 2.42 on betfair but boylesports have 7/5 for those with accounts.

Seems to be a win/win bet, it looks a really solid bet to me and gives us a much better chance of not booking another formula 1 losing weekend.

Please not I haven't got a real fancy formula 1 style weather radar, I have just chucked spa Belgium in the BBC site and can see a white cloud and a bit of sun.

A F1 bet? Edgy stuff! You are correct, I was not aware of the penalty.

Detailed weather forecast too - "one white cloud & a bit of sun". Tighty will be so jealous.

Thing is, do we risk digging our F1 hole deeper?.....

Thoughts, anyone?

Remember we already have £15 Raikkonen @ 5/1.

How would we size such a bet, given that?

At a guess, £50 to win £70, but if Raikkonen won then that cancels out the profit...

Mannone has played in goal for Arsenal seven times

5 wins, two draws

---

Button does look a good thing. Of course, the performance of the new Mclaren wing was not public info when we backed Raikkonen. That's F1 for you.

I am sure you can construct a book that allows you to make money if either win, with Raikkonen as your Button saver if you like

Something like £30 Button at 7/5

Button wins you win £42-£15=£27
Raikkonen wins you win £75-£30=£45

Neither win you lose £15+£30=£45

I don't think you've included last year's CL game away to Olympiakos in those stats., where his headless chicken impression was truly awesome.

Looks ok to me.  I might see tighty next weekend so don't want to wipe out his potential profit

Does that infer that the Sky Poker Tour Grand Final next weekend may be graced with your presence? (Unsubtle spam ends).

I took evs the under 2.5 in the Arsenal/Liverpool game yesterday. I am also under 1.5 and have laid Liverpool. There seem to be a fair amount of Liverpool money around. Would anyone know if that is Bloom related?

I don't disagree that backing Button at 7/5 is a good thing to do (trading lower on Betfair). I'm having a bet on this race outright and I'm backing someone you haven't mentioned. I haven't got on yet and I'd imagine Tikay will just say it makes his life complicated and he can't understand the concept of having three bets in one event, so I'm not sure whether to post.

Maybe I'll wait until I'm on.

Robin Van Persie is 23/20 to score at anytime today wtih VC. I think he should be odds on and is with the majority of bookies. No Rooney so he will be the main striker and I imagine he'll be on penalties too. Might be worth an interest.
Sorry not been keeping up with the thread as much (it moves so fast!) so not sure where we are in terms of bet sizing.
I guess we'll only be on if others agree so I'll leave it to them to suggest stakes.

Thanks.

Wow - he is as low as 8/13 in some places.

Think I might take a flyer, & try & get on at 23/20 before it goes.

£40 sound reasonable?
Sounds good to me.

I'm guessing Neil might be going for Alonso 10/1

Interested to see.

Everything in life is increasngly complicated, Neil......

The concept I understand, the equation of how much to bet on each I'd struggle with. Presumbly there is some sort of short cut to work it out?

Our outlay is miniscule, hardly worth "protecting", but as a practice session, it'd be invaluable, at low cost.

Camel started this (on here), reds followed it up, now Mr C says he is on.

Sounds like we need to get on this.

Thoughts as to stake size, please?
