Daily Report as @ 0730, Wednesday September 26thAs you were. No bets completed yesterday, & only one new bet placed.
The NFL debate continued, & amazingly, some bookies refunded losing Packer bets as I understand it. Not because bookies are nice people, but because in the USA, they quickly recognized that bad refereeing decisions damage the game & everything about it. Will such a line ever occur to Premiership football in England, where mistakes are made every single game, not surprisingly given the speed at which it is played? Of course not, there are VERY GOOD reasons why we don't allow Technology, instant replay cameras & "reviews" in football, even though almost all other major sports do. (Tennis, Horseracing, Cricket, Rugby etc). I just wish I knew what those compelling reasons were.
T20WC continued, we are not crushing, we have a few live ones, & a few in bad shape. Our book is very small so far, but as the Tourney "proper" begins, I guess the volume will step up soon. Many thanks to MCC - & Cake King - for the T20WC updates.
Lots of Ryder Cup chatter, I'll summarise the suggestions today, so we have something to work off. I fancy we will be very busy with Ryder Cup stuff all weekend.
Head-splitting debate about the probabilities of fourball & foursomes scores & their assumed value. "double up" laid claim to the most boring Post in blonde's history, but I beg to differ. Go to almost any Online Staking Thread & read 18 pages of mind-numbing 'Stars Hand histories all followed by "
what was the twat thinking?". (Clue - "we lost the hand"). Jeez, that stuff abso does my head in.
A brilliant debate about football betting, centring on "I think x will win" & "it is VALUE we should look look for, not history".
That was topped by War & Peace by Lord Channing, which was spellbinding stuff to us ice-creams.
Amyone who failed to learn at least something about punting yesterday was not paying attention.
There was some proper old-fashioned Cup action on telly, too.
