Bath Quins is a tough one. Fancy Quins sort of 25-18 ish but can't fancy overs or unders with any great confidence. Even a draw is in with a decent shout. If you had to have a bet to enjoy it then Quins by 1-7 points may be best value.

Hello sir.

Interested in why you back the draw so often in rugby matches?

Is it purely as a save in case your selection comes close to winning but fails to do so (in which case it's an ice cream bet) or do you think it's genuinely often overpriced and have you any evidence to back this thought up?

I think the draw is often over priced, especially in Union, when the weather conditions are bad. The game has become so complicated and defences so good that with fewer tries draws are more likely. But I do have a preference for suggesting it with sides that are not high scoring teams and where the better team is playing away. My favourite team for the draw was Newcastle, who couldn't score and played on a bog of a pitch in the freezing cold, but sadly are now out of the premiership.

As for statistical evidence, none at all I am afraid.

10 minutes to go, still 12-3.

No try scorer yet.

Winner!

Final score 12-3.

Hector finds us a 16/1 winner, effectively about 5/1 net.

Mr T I had to celebrate with the victory dance. I think we should invest some of the winnings on Tighty and my top bat selections to make our squeeze more exciting.

Suggest £5 each on Prior, Patel and Swan. I will let you odds check to find the price as I feel more dancing coming on.

You are incorrigible hector. Dancing, cake, daft bets that keep winning.

Those three bets.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think Patel & Prior are your recommends, later endorsed by Tighty. I think Swann was thrown in the mix by Ed Gascoigne? Anyway, I'll stick them in your name for now, & we can amend after they have won. Or not.

First post on this thread, but just spotted Marcus Tudgay's odds for first/last/anytime scorer in today's match vs Cardiff.

Most places he's 6/1 or 7/1 for first / last goalscorer.  Corals have him at 25/1, BetVictor have him at 22/1
Anytime scorer is similar.  8/1 at Coral, 6/1 at BetVictor instead of 15/8, 7/4, etc.

He's a striker / winger who I'd expect to be in the starting line up today, yet he's a bigger price than holding midfielders and players who'll be lucky to get on the bench (e.g. Kelvin Etuhu).

I don't know much about sports betting, but I know that this is wrong!

Thanks Curtis, & welcome aboard.

We like to give Fred newbies a "free shot" if the bet is anything like, & this looks "like", so I'll get on shortly.

I'm not sure of the mechanics of "First" v "Anytime", & every time I do it, someone pops up afterwards & tells me there was a better way to do it, but I'll take a chance & get on in a bit.

As President of League Nit, I have to ask you, what would you recommend - £5 on each, or £10 on each?
