Do you fancy a small Banzai at big prices Mr K?

Hit me!

Might take a while to get on, as I'm on catch-up here, but we like Banzais. Nothing TOO silly, I hope?

I saw in the newspaper that moyes was 2/5 to still be with everton at start of next season, wasn't able to find the market online, but where else is he going to be?

Hi exstream,

Truth is, he has been tipped for all the "big" jobs for many years, & he is bound to go eventually. Where? No idea!

Just posted these on Frasers thread;

I'm laying Pool @ 1.44 at home to Southampton. Without wanting to sound like a broken record, laying Pool at home is still a blind bet for me.
But the fact that Southampton have won 2 and drawn 2 of their last 4 is also nice.

Also I was looking at the QPR vs Villa game and I quite like opposing the 'both teams to score' @ 2.06 with Betfair.
QPR have scored 4 times in 6 games at home and Villa have scored 3 times in 7 away matches. And Redknapps first priority seems to have been to tighten up the defence. Maybe the 'under 1.5 goals' is better @ 3.4, the slightly higher variance end of the same bet, I guess.

Anyway, I'd recommend £20 on both of those. No problem if you want to swerve.

Edit: correction

Morning Dazzy.

Any other views on this from anyone?

I'll probably do the Liverpool lay, seems a decent bit of value.

I thought Andrew's "gung-ho" argument on Goals in the QPR game was interesting, so I'm a bit torn on this one. Thoughts please?

Suarez is a must each way bet if you are backing him, with bet365 you get 10/9 the "place" when it's around 8/11 on betfair. Probably qualifies as a £30ew bet for thread as the "win" part is around neutral ev at 100/30

Win being 1st goal, place being to score anytime

Edit- didn't realize Dom had put it a few posts above

Can't quite work out who this bet belongs to - is it Dom? (Nico29)?

Anyway, for now, I'll book it down to him.

Bet365 restricted me to £16.67 EW (!), but it's better than nothing.

Liverpool-Southampton, First Goalscorer, Suarez, £16.67 EW @ 3/1, Bet365.

ON

1  Luis Suarez    Liverpool v Southampton
First Goalscorer  01/12/2012  3/1
1/3 Odds  To Run
Unit Stake 16.67  EW Single Stake 33.34

Miami Heat -7 10/11 or better.  Bluesq have it and Betfred have -5.5  according to Oddschecker.  San Antonio have Duncan, Ginobli and Parker out and it has not long broke.  Will be a lot shorter come gametime.  £110 I think.  You need to do it now though.
fyl, ul. Almost ran sick bad on the under too.

Sheesh, that was close! - congratulations, & thanks.

yea, looked a lock at then they decided to go nuts late in the 4th Q. 0.5points is good enough tho Wink Nothing looked very inviting on yesterdays card or todays card atm.

If the Cavaliers line moves a little more in their favour I will be on that. Not sure it will though

Wycombe Wanderers 13/10 £30 v Bristol Rovers

I need to break my duck.  I've been through this weekends coupon in huge detail; I strongly fancy Wycombe - and in addition have some inside info - I am saying that tongue in cheek, however a friend of mine has started working with the club recently - since there recent back to back wins and has been highly complimentary about the overall morale and attitude of the players and the manager.  I've seen the, play a couple of times at home to Rochdale most reently where they played well - and have marked up a slightly false position based on that and watching highlights.

No injuries tomorrow - Bristol Rovers woeful away, 1 point from 15.  If Wycombes form over last two games had been maintained for 5 - which it obviously hasn't I make them 8/11 shots.

Also considered getting with draw no bet at 4/6 which I think is also, obviously related an option.

If this bet loses I am never posting anther bet here and will go to Frasers great new thread wth my tail between my legs.

I like this bet.

Since last season I have been keeping an eye out for Wycombe, as they came to Hillsborough last season & joined in the promotion party in good fun & there fans generally was a good bunch. I had heard many rumours that Wycombe at that point was struggling financially and the chairman was a prat (I think?!) and the Wednesay fans always said if things get that bad, you can rely us on for a helping hand. They really was a good bunch of fans.

It seems that they haven't had a great start, but the squad is a lot better than league position suggests, so at home & what claypole has mentioned, will be backing today.

Carlsen's second has FINALLY been granted a visa, which means he will be around for the comp to assist our man Magnus for future rounds.

Fred is on him winning the tournament but has an interest bet on him losing his first round in the process to British Number One Luke (Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuke) McShane at a meaty 7-1.

Would expect to have results early evening.

It was superb call mate. I think you have tipped about 5 winners from your last 6 NBA bets? You might yet get us out of our NBA hole.

The opening ceremony was yesterday. One of the features was that the players took questions from the Twittersphere. The report goes:

We then moved to questions, from the online audience as well as the people in the room. The first came from an Internet questioner with a Scandinavian name. Sitting on the immediate right of Magnus Carlsen, [tournament organiser Malcolm Pein] was a little self-conscious about reading out the questioner’s name. After a tentative try at pronouncing it, he turned to the world number one for help. “Could he be a Norwegian with a name like that?” With immaculate comic timing, Magnus shot back: “Not the way you pronounce it!”. That brought the house down. A third career possibility for Magnus: after chess super-GM and fashion model... stand-up comedian?

Left: World Champion Vishwanathan Anand
Centre: Organiser Malcolm Pein (himself an International Master)
Right: Magnus Carlsen

Yep. Round one results will start coming in about 6 but could go on quite a bit later.

Morning Mr T. Today England play New Zealand at Rugby Union in your back garden. All Blacks will win and prices for that  look right and of no interest. One price that is out of line is Stan James's 15/8 for over 47 points, but my reservation about that is I think England will be intent on keeping NZ out rather than any adventure.

However I feel we have to have a bet as it's the best rugby team in the world over here. An area that will give a good sweat and I hope be profitable is in the anytime try scorer market. NZ are so much better than anyone else because of their instant decision making, no matter who it is they all do the right thing instinctively. This means the backs do the work of the forwards at the point of impact and the forwards know this and will often find themselves in the try scoring position. In addition to this I think England's main weakness is the pack and I expect that to be targeted with lots of driving mauls in the first 60 mins. So I want to propose small bets on 3 high priced NZ forwards to get a try.

Tony Woodcock @ 10-1
Sam Whitelock  @ 11-1
Brodie Retallick @  11-1

All the above with Paddy Power £5 on each.

P.S I am starting to regret not backing 3G in the golf.

If only we could find the winner, yes - 19 runners, 5/1 the field.
