Morning Guy,
It began as a notional £1,000, later we upped it to £2,000, & then to £3,000. The £3,000, given our rule (general) of 5% max bet, allows us a MAX of £150.
The idea was to see if we could manage to last 12 months without losing it, or indeed anything. We are nearly 11 months in now, & are showing a small profit overall, so far.
I'm sorry, but I don't understand the second sentence - can you elaborate, please?

200-5 might seem disappointing
A very slow day's cricket but the pitch is one of the worst pitches for cricket. Very slow, very low and unlikely to get easy
In commentary for Indian TV, Collingwood said "this game will be over in three days, it will be like a dry river bed by then"
There are cracks already, and it (it was clear after about half an hour when the new ball didn't bounce much) was never going to be a 350+ pitch
Just goes to show what an inexact science pitch study is, as it looked like a belter pre-match and looked a huge toss to win
It's disappointing that the England middle order basically got themselves out, but again this is down to the pitch as the ball stopped on both Bell and Pietersen
I am not sure if there is any appetite for this, but current prices are as follows
http://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/india-v-england/test-series/india-v-england-%5B4th-test%5D/winner
It can't be a draw, and I have England as at least as likely to win as India
In a vacuum, I'd back England at 9/4 here
I can see 260 plays 220 plays 180 plays 150 type of scores
Don't fret.

Daily Report as at 1110, Thursday 13th December
We made a profit of exactly £150 yesterday.
5 bets in total, 3 small losers (£5, £5 & £10) offset by two tasty wins. Were it not for Bet365 restricting us, the £10 loss would have been £40. Like.
The winners were TL900, who found us yet another nice Basketball win, we were on @ -4, & we got home by 6 in total, so we just about covered. Tight, but the line actually moved later, so we only win because we got an early line, &, for once, I did not engage dither-mode. Well done Tom.
The other winner was an absolute corker spotted by ChipPrince, the sort of spot that Freddies specialise in, & this was amongst the best. We needed a “12” to score, we got it, & banked £120 for a tenner. Top spotting!

edit Atherton on Sky
"that score is worth 270-5 on a more normal pitch"
"never seen a pitch as cracked as this, they widened considerably in the 48 hours before the match"
Thread might not want to...but England at 9/4 is the bet

Sunderland can be backed at 16/1 in a few spots and whilst I would never contemplate betting against Manchester United and would expect them to win this 9 times out of 10, isn't 16/1 for any side in any game in the Premier League too much?
Just did a quick look and Coral's offer 14/1 DNB vs best elsewhere of 133/10 and most offering 10.
http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/man-utd-v-sunderland/draw-no-bet
However - given the motivation of 'teaching Sunderland fans a lesson' Stan James 5/6 on Rooney to score at anytime looks pretty good too.
Either of those take the attention?

No worries Guy.
The spreadsheet has all the info, & is kept up to date daily. Every single bet, since day one, is shown, & al bets are proofed.
Hope you hang around, it is a fun thread, & feel fre to recommend stuff. Note, however, despite the thread title, we do not generally back "tips" as such, the case for value has to be made, unless of course the owner is an Elder, or has a winning record.
If you see a 6/4 shot advertised at 2/1, let us know.

Hi David,
In short, both!
16/1 is ridiculous, but the other view, that Rooney & Co plan to batter them by way of revenge, is also pertinent.
Let's see what others say. I would be extremely surprised if all the known facts are not in the advertised prices though.

Not been reading Fred for long enough to know if a policy has been decided upon for value purposes?
As the owner of the Astracad bet for Saturdays racing, we took 12-1. Best price is now
(only half prices listed after decs).
Not my own policy, but at what price do the Wise Ones on here lay back to either secure stake back and have a freebie(ie lay at
and have no exposure but a free chance at a 6-1 winner), or wait for 3-1 and lock in guranteed profit?
Or will Fred always just let it ride?
Hope that makes sense, as I expect the momentum that is gathering behind this, it will go off nearer
, and welcome thoughts.
