Is there, or should there be, a green out strategy?

Such that rather than having a result of -£10 or +£500 the thread backs the final opponent (assuming MVG makes it) to win £100/£150/£200 (as you see fit)

and turn a -10/+500 book into for example +100/+400?

The market still underrates him at the moment, so would prefer to let it ride. Can always reassess before the final (if he wins) but all the signs are that he will continue to be underrated.

I managed to find a photo of Sir Alex, shortly after hearing that Arsenal beat Newcastle 7-3.

Was there last night and was brilliant entertainment - obviously given an extra edge as I also have an 80/1 ticket.

One annoyance though is the moron "fans". Now I like a crazy piss up at sports events a much as anyone (in the old days anyway) but starting "stand up.." chants when both players are on a finish in the deciding leg is just ignorant. No one is even watching!

Ha, the question on everyone's lips, that we are all scared to ask.......

For the Fred bet, the decision sits with Bazzaboy. Whatever he says, we will do, he owns the bet.

We would not do anything until the Final imo, as we only have £10 invested.

If Bazza decides to man it out, that is what Fred will do. In truth, though, if he does, I may have a saver off-thread. To me, it makes no sense not to.

Yet another who has a big MVG voucher!

If this bet gets home, it will be the greatest.

I know he has the easiest semi, but given he is now favourite, then the market can't be understating him much, if at all.  To green out we should believe that the market is overrating him though?

If we greened out would be more like +100/+330.

well done bazza

as tikay says the decision is his

my view is if bazza thinks mvg is now to short then back his opponent (he surely will beat wade who is consistent with his 90-92 average) in the final

i get the feeling he has unwavering faith and i for one cant blame him

I was suggesting greening out ONLY if he makes the final

Think it would be foolish not to, however romantic it is to let it ride for the max.

I'm not sure if the price will change that much should he beat Wade and face Taylor.

I've a ticket @ 66/1 and am dithering about laying a little 6/4.

Ha, another one with a juicy voucher on MVG!

Would love to know how much we have on collectively.

Think Chompy has £1 EW on him, too.

Only wish I'd got as much on as I tried for, but I love you Bazzaboy whatever. Adrenalin finally subsided about 3am.

Imo...

4/6 Taylor v 5/4 MVG

Or

Evs Barney v 4/5 MVG

Consequently, Camel is prob right that 2.6 is a decent price, assuming MVG doesn't bounce v Wade tonight.

It's by no means a nailed on certainty, and the outcome will surely come down to whether or not he wants the job, but if you're quick you can get 6/1 on Sean O'Driscoll to be next Barnsley manager at Bet Victor, which I think represents good value.

They've put a fairly 'standard' market up so far, including Sven and Kevin Keegan!  SkyBet have him at 7/2, Stan James at evens.

Ignore David Flitcroft, who they have as J/F, as he's probably going to turn down the caretaker role this morning (he and Hill are a team, so I don't expect him to stay) and the prices should shorten further.

Also, as an outside candidate if his name appears on the list (he doesn't at the moment), consider a speculative flutter on Jan Aage Fjortoft at an outsider price.  Popular ex-player, done all his coaching badges and has tweeted his interest.

My former Club #barnsleyfc sacked the manager today I will call them and say:-I am a Norwegian and I think I will do great in Championsship

Thanks Curtis.

I doubt we've ever got a "Next Manager" bet right yet, but any other views?

PS - Down to 4/1 already. Own up, who lumped a tenner on?
