Morning, Fred.

Managed to find all three of Camel's prices for the three horses on Betfair.

I'm smaller ball than even his recommends (probably professional squash ball at best) but you might want a peruse if you're looking to top up.

Top man Tal, thank you, I'll go take a look now.

It is slightly complicated by the fact that the bet in the 5.10 is Each Way, so it depends on what price Betfair have for tbp.

I can only aspire to bet squash ball size, I'm more marble, or ball-bearing personally.

Don't forget commission as well with Betfair prices.

I may have overstated the diameter of my balls but what the heck.

I have topped up via Betfair, & will post the details for Mere shortly. He's gonna love me for this bet, three horses, two of which were backed with two different bookies. Be worth if if they win though.

I also have to Post the details of the Golf Bets I placed last night on the Accenture thing.

The new Dragon on Dragons' Den has been announced as Interior Design businesswoman Kelly Hoppen MBE.

She used to date Sol Campbell, apparently.

With Theo Paphitis and Hilary Devey both leaving, there is one more seat to fill. Is there a market on who might take the spot?

Fred looking for a TfT exit strategy?

The bets:

3.25 £10 ew Imprimis Tagula @ 16/1 Betfred or Paddy

4.35 £10 win Rosie Future @ 6/1 Bet365 (This one is a bit of guess up.. Its profile mostly meets my criteria, but it could be any price from 7/2 to 10/1 tomorrow! Hence the win only privoso even though it is a pretty good ew race)

5.10 £30 ew Miami Gator @ 9/2 Bet365 or Paddy. Really like this one.

Fancy one pretty strongly in the seller too, but obv no prices on that race yet. I'm going to be out most of tomorrow (School half terms weren't designed with punters in mind!), but I'll post it if I can find a computer while I'm out.

Good luck and don't blame me if they lose!

Morning Keith.

This was part executed last night. The first bet was fully placed, but we got Restricted on the other two.

I have now topped up to (roughly) the suggested amounts via Betfair, as below.

These, (Mere) are seperate bets.

Rosie Future, 4.35 Southwell, £8.50 Win @ 7, Betfair.

Miami Gator, 5.10 Southwell, £24 Win @ 5.6, Betfair.

Miami Gator, 5.10 Southwell, £24 PLACE @ 1.74, Betfair.

ON

Ha, I think The Betting Emporium may have got there first.

I'm quite keen on Tiger this week in the Accenture World Match-play thingy.

His swing looked very good to me in the event that he played in the US, as good as I've seen it in seven or eight years and he loves match-play. I think this might be the first time in ages that he's gone into one of these events fully fit and firing on all cylinders.

I managed to get matched @ 13.5 on betty but still like the look of 13.

Happy for you to receive more feedback from the golfing gurus first but I would recommend a medium-sized wager @13.

Think it is interesting one this week.  For me Rory makes the field.  He hasn't played much with these new clubs and when he did he stunk.  Tiger is playing well and could re-emerge this year as a clear world number one in which case this could look big for sure.  I like Kaymer at 40-1 e/w.  He has the right kind of temperament for these events and has finished runner up before.  I also think he is coming back into form.  He had a couple of decent top tens to start the season before putting in a bad start lto but he has never done well at that course so it doesn't concern me too much and he seems very confident in the interviews I have read.  He was world number one only 2 years ago and if he got back to anything like that form he would be a genuine 16/1 shot here.

Thanks reds, & Methuselah.

I quite like the idea, during the golf season, where there are some juicy prices around, albeit very high variance, we have a little basket of golf bets for some of the events.

And, as vegaslover pointed out, we could (should, even) do a bit of trading on the Saturday & Sunday as the Tournament developed.

I need some guidance here, but when I bet on Golf off-thread, as I frequently do in season, I often back two or three all to win me the same amount, usually £500 or £1,000. In that respect, I messed up last night on the Accenture, & backed Woods & Kaymer to win different amounts, but it is not a disaster, & if we wished, we could rectify it.

Anyway, I'll stick the two bets up shortly.

Like Noddy, I'm all ears here.

Bayern Munich are one of the top top sides

15 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga, which itself is a far improved league

1 goal conceded in 11 away games

Everyone knows this.

So...

I wondered if they should be odds on at Arsenal tonight, but note 11/10 Paddy Power which strikes me as a good price

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/champions-league/arsenal-v-bayern-munich/winner

If Arsenal come out and go for it, Bayern will smack them to pieces on the counter

If Bayern come on, Arsenal have not shown the defensive solidity all year

I think I will take by far the best team in the Bundesliga at odds-against to the (arguably) fourth best team in the premiership, and would expect Bayern to win both legs

Tell me I am wrong....

If not, recommending Bayern tonight at 11/10 Paddy Power

Rich - please state an amount - it gives us a better idea of how strongly you feel about the recommend.

On the face of it, the price looks good.

re arsenal game

bayern look to obvious to me at odds against record away so far in europe this season

bate 3 bayern 1

lille 0 bayern 1

valencia 1 bayern 1

The bate game was a bit of a freak result but even so shows they can be vulnerable.

The lille game was a dour match and they just about did enough, the valencia game a draw suited both sides so not much to take from that.

The defensive record in the league is immense but having to play the slow old boat that is daniel van buyten is not ideal against walcott. Whether Arsenal can manipulate the ball enough to get him one on one is another thing.

£50 to win £55 etc.

I'm aware its a "perfect knowledge" market, I am not writing anything that anyone else does not know

I merely priced it up mentally before I looked at the market, and was pleasantly surprised to see odds-against

My overall thinking is the match odds for this game have been priced up for a while and not a great deal has changed.

A few people (not here) have mentioned that the weekend loss will be damaging to arsenal do not agree with this in the slightest this is a whole different game with a different starting x1.

If anything i am swaying towards Arsenal small but will not bet unless they drift some more which i doubt

Ahh, "Mr Put Things in Perspective" does exactly that.

I love this thread, the fact we can debate stuff without all those insult lobbing parties we see elsewhere makes if different gravy for me.
