Golf restart delayed by another hour this morning so a 16.30 UK time start now. I won't be amazed if they don't start then either

Did fred have any Oscar bets?
IIRC Les Mis in the big one, as a way of opposing Lincoln.
Hasten to add not one from my Artsy Stable.
I've had Ang Lee for best director. Looks to be Spielberg though.
Had a look at best Actress & like Emmanuelle Riva to win over Jennifer Lawrence.

Mate of mine been rattling on about Sergio Perez for Formula 1 Drivers champ, says he is the real deal.
Advised me at weekend to get on but wanted any opinion from here first as I know as much about F1 as I do my own car.
Opinions please

Afternoon Mr T.
Tomorrow sees the start of the cricket test series between India and Australia in India. I think we should support Mr Pujara again as he is a proper cricketer playing proper cricket. Had he been priced at 3-1 I would have backed him myself but not put him up for Fred, however 7/2 is available and I think that is a little bit of value. He should be refreshed and ready to stick it in the eye of the racist selectors for not picking him for the one dayers. I can't believe that Tendulkar is still in the team and only 5-1 for top batter after how poor he was against England.
Suggest £20 Pujara top series batter @ 7/2 Ladbrokes.
Make sure you pick top series and not for the 1st test match.

Maybe but impossible to say if he is any value at the moment
The Pirelli people have on instructions made the tyres even more degradable this year, and I reckon you are going to get a lot of random results in the first few races
Last year Perez was very soft on his tyres, but that's not to say the McLaren will be for him
In testing, which is difficult to extrapolate as a fair amount of sandbaging that goes on, Red-Bull, McLaren, ferrari, Renault and just recently mercedes all look to be competitive
Wait and see

Do you know if they are just planning to finish round 1 today, or are they going to attempt to start round 2?

Hector, I mean, really.
As if I could get confused.
PS - Been Offline a few hours, typically Fred has been heaving in my absence, so got some work to do. But we ARE on that Pujara bet, details later. Thank you.

F1 I have resolved not to have a bet this season, unless its blindingly mispriced at any point
Just think the nature of the tyres, how they work at what temperatures and at what tracks and for what team makes beating it an impossibility, unless you are on the inside or can spot a sub-market at some point
Will be analysing it closely though, F1 bananas I am.

I did look up Perez when he was signed by McLaren with a view to making this bet. If you look back on his history, he has had a few indifferent seasons on his way up to Formula 1.
The likes of Senna, Schumacher and Hamilton were leading/competitive in virtually every season from early ages. He may be value at big odds, but can't be having him as the "real deal".

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

So much stuff goes through Fred sometimes that we are in danger of missing some right purlers.
Doobsy said this of the By-election candidate....
she is stuck with the label the Conservative's Sarah Palin,
and seems to have a talent for narrowing her voting base
.
I love subtle & understated.
Methuselah-Minor slipped a beaut in, too, when pontificating on the Long Handled Putter debate.....he referred to those moaning as.......
the belly-achers
Awesome.

good man tighty
Enjoyed your analysis last season. Hoping to find time this year to watch more of the four wheel racing, but fear my two wheel pedalling always takes up so much time.
