At 11.30am Mark Williams plays Marco Fu

Fu reached the German Open final two events ago, then ran into a high seed early in Wales

Williams is in a season long struggle for form, hasn't got sufficient practice time due to family commitments and hates travel to the overseas events

Williams, as usual against a lower ranked player, is priced odds on favourite and Fu 23/20, though the price has been moving in since I last looked yesterday

I think there is a fair chance that Fu should be the one priced odds-on

Recommend Fu to beat Williams  £50 Sporting Bet 23/20

Thanks Rich.

bobby1 already gave us this, at around 1am this morning, & I got on immediately.

We had £40 @ 11/8 with Corals, though I still need to formalise the details on here, as I did not do so last night.

bobby reached much the same conclusions as you.

The Recommend & bet are on the previous page to this.

Daily Summary, @ 10.05am, Wednesday February 27th

We lost £53.63 yesterday.

Very efficient, too, three completed bets, all of which lost.

We laid Leicester (they won), we backed Craig Dawson to score two, he just scored one, but we had declined that particular bet as the price fell before we got on. So my afternoon kip cost us a few bob. And we had a little punt on a football match in Montenegro, as you do, & that one went wrong.

Not all bad though, Gonzago are now 10/1 best, (£20 @ 33/1) & Doncaster, who we are on to win League One, (£20 @ 12/1) went top.

On the chess thing £921 means that £460.5 has been bet, (when we match £10 at evens the nmber will go up by £20, they count it twice), so it's very low.

Off the top of my head, prior to kick-off in a Monday Premier Match half-time betting has about £30,000, Time of 1st Goal odds about £12,000, 1st TD in the MNF NFL game £5,000.

Even with a couple of weeks to go this one probably won't get to £3,000 so that means you can't be too optimistic about the prices you ask for. I guess the money at 2.4 and 2.0 that is waiting now will be someone on here. If you think 1.91 or even 1.83 are value and you would rather bet with Betfair who will definitely still be around in three weeks time, then you may want to go for that.

I slower way of getting yourself a bigger price is to try and proportionally lay all the others. If you were just looking to get £100 at evens maybe putting a price to lose £100 on each player and fiddling around each day would be fun, in an event you clearly enjoy. You could skew things and lay Aronian to lose £200 and Kramnik to lose less if that is your view.

I'd never heard of Marathon Bet but they seem to be connected to Panbet who regularly advertise in the Racing Post on Saturdays and who have been around for five or ten years. Obviously wouldn't want to trust them for six figures, but it looks Ok.

On the college basketball, a guy I follow on Twitter has a system that makes some sense. He says to oppose college teams where they all run on the court at the end next time up.

The theory is that these are young kids who get much more emotionally attached than "normal" athletes and the night will always end up with drinking and late night celebrations. Next time out they will be in a big let-down spot and the intensity will be hard to replicate.

The same chap who reportedly frequented an open-minded lady establishment the night before a game.

Williams led Fu 2-1, but it is 2-2 now.

Best of 9.
