The rafa rant tonight is brilliant. Top 5 all time tirade. Catch it if you can on ssn etc.

Would like to chuck a couple of Darts at the Tswane Open

Last week while the world focused on the matchplay, our previous selection Jaco Van Zyl was winning a Pro Am event, which got little coverage, so he is bang in form.

The field this week is the strongest for a little while and I fancy he may be a false favourite, having bottled it when faced with any sort of challenge by ranking pros. However he is a quick starter on a roll.

The course is considered a bit of a beast length wise, but this is offset somewhat by being at altitude.

For this reason I am going to recommend an old sparring partner from our Junior days(our golfing careers took very different directions!) David Howell.

He has yet to miss a cut for ages and although one of the shortest on tour, he ranks highly compared to this field regards most other stats(shots per round/putting/saves), and I think the fact the course is long is making him a bit of a false price. After a few years in the wilderness, it is also fairly common knowledge round here he is practising very hard to make that final breakthrough back to the bigger league. Seven/Eight years ago he would have been clear fav for this.

Recommend £10 ew David Howell  @40-1 Coral

Banzai £5 Jaco van Zyl First Round Leader @24s on Betty(no Liquidity) 20s VCbet

Jaco nearly did us a big favour last week, he is deffo worth another shot, imo.

Just to confirm all this......

We have £10 EW @ 40/1, Corals, David Howell, to win Tshwane Open.

And £5 @ 25 (24/1), Betfair, Jaco Van Zyl to be First Round Leder, Tshwane Open.

There will be limited service for placing bets tomorrow, I hope to be back Online by late afternoon.

We have banked a bit of profit today, £55, so that's good, & all being well, February should be a good month, though we look like facing a bit of pain with the By-Election bet. Hopefully, the Darts will get us out of it.

Be nice to have a £700+ month.

Benitez clips are usually so boring. This was more like it.

West Brom @ 8-1 on Saturday any interest Premiership boffins?

Studied tomorrow's Southwell card hard.

Could hardly find a bet.

First time the 5f course will be used since the flood, be interesting to see how it rides.

The golf tips this week from the man at bettingon.com are Van der Walt (again) at 45/1 in the PGA tour event and some fella called Charlie Belgan in the Honda at 175/1 (150/1 paying 6 with stanley james best I could see). He sounds like a poker player who either gets a massive stack or busts early on day one. Cheeky fiver e/w on each?

The website is (very openly) an affiliate. There's no reason to believe he's profitable at all and not just touting bets in order to generate traffic - tipping up all major TV sporting events but nothing else and typing up a whole multitude of bets in each. You're probably no worse off with random dart throwing.

the golf guy has tipped a 90/1 winner and a 75/1 winner in recent weeks and added the 40/1 winner of the matchplay last week. He throws much better darts than I ever could. Feel free to leave your own darts in their case

Hey, I'm not stopping you from betting them yourself but I'm providing some balance. The website is making money by people clicking through their banners and their previews are a pretty transparent way for them to encourage that.

I don't have much incentive to give thread 'darts'. They do.

having a quick first look at that website

i do not have a problem with the affiliate thing a lot of "free" websites do the same

however looking at this weeks preview he mentions seven players in a positive way, there is no staking plan and there appears to be no record of profit or loss on the tips made so far unless i have missed it.

Just in case it's been missed:

From Twitter:

Quote
Ladbrokes ‏@Ladbrokes
If the Tories win the Easleigh By-election, money back on losing bets on the By-election winner! #politicalpunting

Can't see the offer on the website so I queried it with them. They replied:

Quote
I don't see the offer either, however, you will be refunded with a free bet up to £25 if it loses. http://ow.ly/i6Tqp  GL

Lib Dems are 1.33. Worth putting £25 on them in case they win to cover the Tory bet, knowing that if the Tories win you'll get the £25 back as a free bet?

That's how most people like to bet. They want guidance not rules. And to most punters a staking plan is anathema. I don't think the site is designed for readers of this thread.

Leeds v Millwall

Leeds very strong at home and Millwall on a bad bit of form lately, although they did beat M'boro last time out.

Leeds home form last 6 - WLWWWW - Loss was against the actual table toppers

Millwall away last 6 - WLLDLD

All bookies have priced it up fairly and not massive value to be had, but before I looked at odds I was thinking slightly odds on shot, but the bookies are not with this thought and best priced at 6/5.
