Make sure you have a tenner on the first race with joke coral as it will be refunded into your account as a free bet too if you've not done so already.

Small potatoes I know for fred these heady days but a freebie is a freebie..

There must be ONE dissenter to shovelling all this money on?

Where's the Awkard Brigade?

Have more on Champagne Fever and you've forgotten MTOY, if that touches 2/1, worth a max ew too imo.

Just to add some more wood to the fire.  I have done a couple of 2 x2 bets starting with the supreme hurdle race ( 1/4 odds first 5).
Think this is a cracking way of trying to get some place money onto later selections, could even do 3 x 2 bets .

Dubai is right.  Just do it.  Also in gambling there are occasionally times to take a bit of a risk with a decent portion of your bankroll because the opportunity is so big to make a very good score and this is one of them.  I am insanely jealous of you all in the UK right now that have access to this offer and for the first time in months wish i was there if only for four days!!!!

Hills now go 15/8 MTOY.......

Now backed it each way.  With all the other bets, I was getting a bit light on MTOY!  We are obviously too late to take the 4/5 Quevega as we are already well invested, but added to my own bets.

I think betting should be profitable, fun shouldn't be the main consideration.  I don't really think it should be a consideration at all, though you'd have to be pretty odd to at least not smile at getting one over on the bookies.

Given we bet £250 on the 9ers, £90 on Quevega and £100 on spurs, it seems reasonable to bet a bit more than the "max" on this race.  Once you have backed 7, you are certain to get something back, so it isn't like you are risking the max.  This is barring some freak event such as a mass pile up, and assuming that one of the absolute rags gets placed.  So if we back 6 as proposed (I understand we already have MTOY), then you have to be extremely risk averse/pessimistic to be thinking that getting nothing back is something we should seriously worry about.

I can fully understand the wish to cut down on £600 though, and I don't as a rule like breaking maximums.  But on this one special occasion, when William Hill are underound the place betting by something like 34%, then £250/£300 seems fine.

MTOY - NO, the MTOY bet Fred has is WIN ONLY.

I have backed the Favoured Five as follows, but I have NOT had any EW on MTOY, who is now quoted @ 15/8.

These 5 bets are ALL additional to our existing portfolio, & are all EW.

Cheltenian, £20 EW @ 20/1
Cause of Causes, £20 EW @ 25/1
Puffin Billy, £30 EW @ 12/1

Champagne Fever £70 EW @ 4/1

Jezki, £70 EW @ 9/2

All with William Hill, quarter odds, BOG, FIVE places paid.

ON

12 Mar 13 / 11:52  Single (EW) 1   1:30 Cheltenham  –  Win Cheltenian @ Guaranteed Price (20/1) – £40.00 O/0457483/0000312/F
12 Mar 13 / 11:59  Single (EW) 1   1:30 Cheltenham  –  Win Cause Of Causes @ Guaranteed Price (25/1) – £40.00 O/0457483/0000311/F
12 Mar 13 / 12:08  Single (EW) 1   1:30 Cheltenham  –  Win Puffin Billy @ Guaranteed Price (12/1) – £60.00 O/0457483/0000310/F
12 Mar 13 / 12:15  Single (EW) 1   1:30 Cheltenham  –  Win Champagne Fever @ Guaranteed Price (4/1) – £140.00 O/0457483/0000309/F
