I have a picture of Mr Whippy when i log in so I should be ok, as for fred- id say the bets are so +ev that any longterm edge we have over Hills should probably be ignored, they dont make THAT many ricks and dont price up some markets we would have an edge over them on anyway. So worth the risk imo

Obv whilst Dave's staking plan seems very Dubaiesque for Fred, it's entirely correct as it's not a punt in the traditional sense, because the chances of us not needing to visit the Win window at all after the race are so slim.
This is like the time the Vic did that ridic roulette promo where they made it +EV to play - we're covering most of the board here.
Thanks for the replies guys, I know it makes sense but I normally stake similar to Fred but simply cannot face that bill this time. I'll figure some staking plan out.
Dubai odds on Hills account lasting when they see you took 5 maxs out in one go?!?!?! I'm presuming the festival itself will provide a lot of cover but it does seem to be a factor worth considering.
15 minutes between bets imo.

There must be ONE dissenter to shovelling all this money on?
Where's the Awkard Brigade?

Have more on Champagne Fever and you've forgotten MTOY, if that touches 2/1, worth a max ew too imo.

Morning Mr T
I am a dissenter. You should to stick to bank roll guidelines so no more than £150 on ANY event. At this rate you will just be relieved to get out of the race without losing bucket loads. Betting should be fun, not a relief when you don't lose.

So which of the other 5 should we drop?

Yes, you are right, we should.
Joking aside, though, we get FIVE places, & if we chose the top 5 in the market, it is almost beyond possibility not to get at LEAST 3 home, which would be bearable given the potential +ev, & we freeroll a Winner, too.
I think.

Id tend to agree if having more bets on the event increased variance, id suggest it actually reduces variance the more bets you have on this race- therefore having 1 bet of £150 would be a higher variance and therefore "more dangerous" route to go on what is obviously the best horse racing betting heat that you can get what you want on, for a long time
