Don't know if fred bet the Swanson bet today with corals, but if so make sure you check your statement.

I followed in the chompster's tip here only to see the lad played no part in the game at all-no matter bet void.

Then having checked my account I see the bets have been settled as losers.

Fired off an email sharpish to get it sorted, annoying though-bet lots of peeps would just assume bet had lost.

good luck with getting a reply

still waiting for one from 3 days ago for me

and they have settled it as a loser with me as well

How right you were.

7 hours gone and not even a reply to confirm receipt of my email.

Poor show indeed.

Least they'll have to refund eventually.

Maybe it's that post chelts hangover, the way their website has been crashing daily since the ss offer copped is an absolute farce.

Could just give them a call...  Would imagine there is still a big email backlog from Cheltenham.

Its the last time I will mention it

Warburton is Gatland's captain. Won the Grand Slam for Gatland

Warburton was injured in the Autumn and Wales form slumped, at half time in the first match of the six nations Wales were 30-3 down to Ireland. When he came back from injury he made a huge difference at Murrayfield and ran Tipuric a close second for Man of the Match today

He can play 6 or 7, he's great with the Media and O'Driscoll is 34, a bit fragile these days.

Warburton is really really really an even money shot at worst here, probably odds-on

Injuries can happen, but that apart I would be stunned if it wasn't him

Ladbrokes go 2-1

Past Lions captains

2009 O'Connell..Ireland Grand Slam winners, clear choice
2005 O'Driscoll, Irish captain, best UK and Ire team, clear choice
97 and 2001 Johnson, England the best team, Johnson obvious leader
93 Gavin Hastings. World class full back for the last really good Scottish team, experienced captain.
89 Finlay Calder. Scottish Grand Slam captain

Warburton. Grand Slam winning captain of the best UK and Ire team two years running

He's not a 2-1 shot.

http://www.oddschecker.com/rugby-union/lions-tour/british-and-irish-lions-tour/to-be-named-captain

Thanks Rich.

That sounds to me like you are hinting that we should do that rarest of things, a double-press.

Currently, we have.....

£10 @ 5/1

£20 @ 7/4.

As at now (8am Sunday) Wm Hill go 5/4, Ladbrokes 7/4.

http://www.oddschecker.com/rugby-union/lions-tour/british-and-irish-lions-tour/to-be-named-captain

What do you think? Have a little more, or be happy with what we have?

I actually took £40 @ 2/1 with Ladbrokes for myself last night, after Fred had got on at 7/4 with Wm Hill, & then Ladbrokes pushed the price out.  I can't really transfer that to Fred though, Compliance Officer Doobs & MereAuditor would probably, & correctly, cry "foul", but Fred could have some more if you think it worthwhile.

I think you can stick, I was just trying to give some background as to how the relationship Warburton/Gatland made 2-1 ludicrous. I hope

Meanwhile I forgot to put Raikkonen 11/4 to podiumvate on the thread, which would have broken my "no betting on F1 rule"

Hamilton finished 5th, with the Mercedes team presumably doing a rain dance at every race from now on. Currently fourth quickest team in the dry

Pujara scored 1 in Mohali. Not sure where that leaves that bet....

Anderson took the only wicket before the rain came in Wellington

He has 7, Broad has 9 in the series

Final test next Friday, and Anderson is nicked up. Would not be surprised to see him rested substantially tomorrow ahead of Auckland

Ooh, podiumvate.....

Great round-up Rich, thank you.

Warburton - OK, we will sit with what we have. We have a potential profit of £85 there, which would be handy enough.

The Pujara thing surprised me - the two openers aggregated a whopping 350, then our man came in....& was out for one! No doubt hector will put it all into perspective a little later, when he stirs from his bed & has had his coffee.

The Anderson bet, yes, it looks dead. We still have Trott batting for us though, (which would pay for the Anderson bet) & let us not forget the McCullum bink (£180) which helped the cricket numbers enormously, though they are still, over 103 bets, a very small loser.

Agreed.  Was odds on before Christmas - don't see how he has a worse chance now.

Chess pic of the day (length of this feature as yet unconfirmed):

Azeri number 1 Teimour Radjabov sees his opponent's opening response and stares intensely at him. He wasn't expecting that. He coped brilliantly, however, and won very well.

Daily Summary, @ 0900, Sunday March 17th

We lost £75 yesterday.

For my part, some post-Chelternham adrenelin & euphoria meant we lost a bit of discipline, & were punting a bit, but at least we kept the wagers small.

In all, 10 bets completed, being one void, one winner, & EIGHT losers. Fortunately, the sole winner was also our joint biggest bet of the day, so at least we limited the damage.

Our losers included Tuilagi (-£10), Button (-£25), Heaslip (-£15), No Try (-£5), Forest/Hull Unders (-£10), Bolton (-£20), Coventry (-£40), & a horse which ran 2nd at a big price (-£5). The Swanson bet was voided.

The list of winners is somewhat shorter - Tighty's "No Grand Slam", which clawed back £65 for us, well done Rich. We did well to get 13/8 there, too, we were on the moment the prices went up the previous week, & the price soon disappeared.

The longer the better, Simon, photos bring Fred to life. I am struggling for time right now, so the Daily Photo Gallery has been absent for a while, but photos inprove any thread, though they do take a bit of time & effort.

If I get myself sorted out, I'll try & resume the photo-galleries soon, if not daily, at least once weekly.

One more round of the chess before the players have a rest day, so I would expect there to be some longer games today, with that comfort.

Our man has the Black pieces against Boris Gelfand, who lost to Aronian yesterday after getting into a bit of a muddle. I would expect a close game but Carlsen might play on in a seemingly drawn position against Gelfand, just to see if he can eke out a critical advantage.

QPR lost yesterday, they are now 2/9 for the drop, we have 8/5.

Despite a remarkable comeback & win, Wolves are only 6/5 for the drop, we have 15/2.

Doncaster are now around 3/1 to be champions, we have £20 @ 12/1.

One bet we have which has slipped under the radar a bit is Lazio to win Europa League, we are on for £20 @ 16/1, they are now 15/2.

There are some bad ones on the sheet, too, including Huddersfield to be promoted, & Walsall to do everything except finish mid-table.

We are also on India to win the current Test.

Once they have all played a few games, will there be a sort of League Table thing?

Morning Mr T.

2nd cup of Carte Noire is sitting next to me and I am able to update the little persons top batter scores.

Vijay        336
Pujara      257
Dhoni       272
Kohli         202  and still batting.

Not ideal with only 1 test remaining. We will need Vijay to fail and Pujara to centrify in the last match.
