One more round of the chess before the players have a rest day, so I would expect there to be some longer games today, with that comfort.
Our man has the Black pieces against Boris Gelfand, who lost to Aronian yesterday after getting into a bit of a muddle. I would expect a close game but Carlsen might play on in a seemingly drawn position against Gelfand, just to see if he can eke out a critical advantage.
Once they have all played a few games, will there be a sort of League Table thing?
Yes. There is now but it will take better shape in a few days' time, really.

Morning Mr T.
2nd cup of Carte Noire is sitting next to me and I am able to update the little persons top batter scores.
Vijay 336
Pujara 257
Dhoni 272
Kohli 202 and still batting.
Not ideal with only 1 test remaining. We will need Vijay to fail and Pujara to centrify in the last match.
Well we still have a sweat, but it is out of Pujara's hands to some extent.
Never mind, what will be will be.
For now, in Trott we shall trust.
How would you sum up England's performance yesterday against Wales? You were, pre-game, well, quite strong in your dislike of their style yesterday if I recall properly.

Not sure if anyone noticed but Warburton wasn't captain yesterday, Gethin Jenkins was. Strangely, when the Six Nations trophy was handed to Gethin Jenkins, Ryan Jones joined him in lifting it whilst Warburton celebrated with the troops. Had Ryan Jones been fit yesterday Warburton probably wouldn't have started. Furthermore, if Dan Lydiate is fit which he should be, Warburton may not make the starting Lions XV.
Anyway, going back to bed with the hangover from hell.

There is so much I dislike about this English team that I could write all day about it but I shall be brief. It is staid, functional, and boring. The coach picks players out of position for negative reasons. Our back 3 consists of a fullback on the wing, an out of form non tackling egotistical winger, and a flyhalf at fullback, and these should be where you score tries.
We have a converted centre playing hooker, and had a flanker playing No 8. A lot of Englands problems come from the set up of the game over here whereby at the age of 18 they join clubs academies and hardly get to play actual games. I would not hold out much hope for this team as they just looked like they didn't know what they were doing on a rugby pitch.
I said before the game that I thought a value bet was Wales to win by more than 12 points and I wish I had more on it. I grew up watching JPR,JJ, BJ and Gareth and supported them until I was about 15 and national identity kicked in. Wales yesterday knew what they were good at and played accordingly and I am glad they won.
England need to get young players playing regularly and a coach with some vision, every time the TV focused on the English coaches I couldn't stop laughing. They were all sitting there with walkie talkies and didn't know what to say or who to say it to.
Rugby league today suggest £20 Hull KR to beat Bradford @7/4 Paddy Power.

Confirmed - I took the hint, but like you, wish I'd had more now!
Will sort that RL thing shortly.

That gladdens my heart so much that you took the hint as I have been sulking that I didn't tip it for Fred. I shall now celebrate with a bacon sarnie.

It's all about reading between the lines, & I know you are super-nitty (LIKE) when it comes to Fred stuff, & you would not have mentioned it without reason.
Enjoy that bacon sarnie.

Very much live
Clarke has a back injury and at 75 for 3 has yet to come in to bat, having batted at 3 first innings

Finally arisen from my post Cheltenham gloom.
Oh what might have been. Two sets of bets majored the portfolio at the start of the week, my fancies, through my eyes/my research, and the loyalty bets
My stuff
My Tent, Backed at all rates from 20s down.....2nd
Boston Bob. Backed at all rates from 10s down......fell when looking winner
Rock on Ruby, backed at 10 down.....2nd
Shakervillz, backed at 66s.......2nd
Make your Mark, backed at 25s........4th
Capt Chris, backed at 25s........ground went against him, and lost so much ground jumping right....bring on Punches.......unpl
Alderwood, backed at 14s down..........Bingo!!!
The loyalty stuff(all the Roger Brookhouse horses, cos I knew targets etc)
Goulanes, backed at 270s down, started at
.........unpl
Saddlers Risk.......unpl
Cheltanian, backed at 180s down........unpl
Chartreux........unpl
Close House backed at 20s.........unpl
Liquidator backed at 90s down........4th...betfair first 3!
Lessons on loyalty and betting well and truly learnt.
Thankfully a daily scan of Mr Channings tips helped ease the daily pain, along with the minor contribution of the priority bets. Lets hope that becomes a regular treat!
As was the same as last year, with these constant reverses and big emotional dips, the week went badly until All In situations in the final race left the week mildly profitable, regardless of sanity, as did Belvano last year. Thank god for the Grand Annual!
Anyway, I managed a look in yesterday and must thank horsey for a lovely ew trixie, that boy knows his beach racing!!
Apart from that, I have managed to avoid a lot of stuff this week, which seems just as well looking back......
Back to business, and I need someone to clarify exactly what our ESC selection is please?!!
Good to be back in the safe haven that is TFT. GL this week all.

Point of order
This man, a thread regular, spotted at Cheltenham
I propose a thread ban for excessive countryside wear, and red trousers

Chess pic of the day (length of this feature as yet unconfirmed):
Azeri number 1 Teimour Radjabov sees his opponent's opening response and stares intensely at him. He wasn't expecting that. He coped brilliantly, however, and won very well.
Was his opponent a midget?

Adzy,
Our ESC nonsense, thanks to that damn Chompy, is.....
Swden @ 12/1
Netherlands @ 10/1. I have it on good authority that Netherlands is actually Holland.
On the Spready they are listed under "Misc", but I need to word Mere, they should be
"Novelty
"
