Bound to be a few free £1 bets floating around in the papers tomorrow. Should Fred be going to the newsagent's?

Formidable popular culture reference Gramps!! Wink

Was due to meet the Goulden one at the Western last night and drew the table in the glassed off area reminiscent of 'the cube' of ITV infamy. Needless to say Goulder did not get the reference, much the same as when he failed to place the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Liz Hurley or Dies Irae. Unbelievable...

I'm up to speed on Family Guy, but "cube", "Ninja Turtles" & "Liz Hurley" are all off my radar completely.

Interesting joint, The Western......

Betting on name the fav in the National looks well out of date to me, APMcoys mount is 4/1 with Hills, he has chosen Colbert Station. Seabass who was heavily backed last year due to the Katie Walsh factor is 11/4. Both are trading at 12.5 ish on BF behind current fav On his own.

McCoys mount has to be value at 4/1 with Hills, 11/4 Seabass might be an ok saver.

rec 40 or 50 quid  McCoy's mount at 4/1, saver on Seabass to cover the bet or win a little at your choice mate.

just a reminder from yesterday Tony, I would have a little more on Seabass to make them both winners as the market is still badly outdated. Cappa Blue at 12/1 is value too if you wanted a cover bet.

current prices on BF for the front four are
10 on his own
11.5 seabass
12.5 Colb station
13.5 Cappa Bleu

I still think seabass and Colb station will be the higher profile horses 2morrow tho.

Thanks Phil.

OK, we have done as below. The two bets suggested yesterday (£40 @ 4/1 & £11 @ 11/4) were placed by me yesterday, & are on the Spready already, minus the details, the other two this morning.

We have.....

Grand National, Who will start Favourite? (ALL with Wm Hill)

McCoy's Mount, £40 @ 4/1

Seabass £11 @ 11/4

Seabass £29 @ 11/4

Cappa Bleu £5 @ 12/1

ON

05 Apr 13 / 09:44  Single 1   Grand National - Who Will Start Favourite?  –  Outright Cappa Bleu @ 12/1 – £5.00 O/0457483/0000371/F
05 Apr 13 / 09:34  Single 1   Grand National - Who Will Start Favourite?  –  Outright Seabass @ 11/4 – £29.00 O/0457483/0000370/F
04 Apr 13 / 13:57  Single 1   Grand National - Who Will Start Favourite? - OLD  –  Outright AP McCoy's mount @ 4/1 – £40.00 O/0457483/0000365/F
04 Apr 13 / 13:57  Single 1   Grand National - Who Will Start Favourite? - OLD  –  Outright Seabass @ 11/4 – £11.00 O/0457483/0000366/F

Daily Summary, @ 1140, Friday April 5th

We made a profit of £72.70 yesterday. I think.

It was quite awkward to work everything out, due to the Free Bets & stuff, but if anyone spots an error, please let me know.

Losers included The New One (-£50), Prophet de Guye (£50), TGB (£10), Quito (£10), & Countryside Flame (£22.22).

Bold Addition lost (fell early) but it was a Free Bet.

The Winners Rostrum, as far as I can tell, included Darts, (Snowy, +£40), the Grandeuot LAY (Chompy, +£50), First Leiutenant (Doobs, +£62.50) & Zarkander )Doobs, +£62.48).

Well done lads, we are back on the winning trail.

Our Europa League bet on Lazio had a bad night, but remains slightly live. Baseball is now in full swing, but it is too early to make any judgements, ditto the IPL.

We placed a few football bets, but none for today.

We have backed Flemenstar (EW) at Aintree today, but nothing else so far. The Aintree Card is a bit lop-sided today, split between long odds-on shots & 12/1 the field jobbies.

We shall need to start thinking about The Masters shortly, it starts next Thursday. There ought to be some sub-market value there somewhere.

Grand National Offer

Had some bumf in from Jennings Bookmakers, who you may recall Lord Channing put us onto during Chelters, where they had a great offer

6 Places On The Grand National

Hi Tony,

Whilst most bookies are paying first 4, we're not even paying 5... WE ARE PAYING SIX PLACES!!

We start paying 6 places from 6:30pm tonight – Friday 5th April. We get our kicks from paying first 6 .

Going tonight..... and no doubt it will be packed, as eveyone sniffs out a big overlay. Very brave or foolhardy to put up a 250K GTD?, given sooooo much going on in the live poker world.
