Denver -14 (William Hill) vs Portland Trail Blazers, blazers just announced their starting line up with 4 rookies in it, -15 most places expect it to drift.
Starts in 15 mins, suggest £44
TL... have you tried In running betting NBA ?... I found it so unpredictable and tough to judge pre game..but underway if you time it right look for runs and bet the handicap you can scoop... by qtr is usually good.... one fave look for a team getting hammered by end of the 3rd qtr ..bet the big handicap +22-+26 say winning team will usually rest the starters and the bench plays against starters and the losers usually claw back at least 10..fave team for this as they can score is the cavaliers..my last 200 bets im' 78%..where before betting pre game i was 58% and a loser..tonight i was 9/11 on the Knicks Nets and Bulls.. my only pre games these days are 1st qtr winners.. i look for fast starting teams..faves lately knick..thunder obv and nets to a degree...and just judge the match up...tonight spurs only -1 v Kobeless lakers who are notorious bad starters v Spurs fast starting and they have Parker back too..obv will go down in flames now opened my big mouth lol Ive bet the 4th a few times as you say where teams rest their starters etc vs decent scoring "weaker" teams. Never bet 1st qtrs. All of what you say makes perfect sense though just find it easier to judge underway as you can see how the teams are actually playing...

These Masters playoffs are killing me. Backed Oosthuizen last year. No dice. Had Angel this year. Same thing happens. Reckon next year I just tell everyone who I'm backing, and you all oppose. Well down to all the big winners tonight, including jakally and swinebag in the tips comp. And a big thank you to Vince for organising. It was great fun. Off to bed now. Gotta be up in 4 hours.

If Woods carries on with current form and wins a major before then he could be back close to the prices in his pomp. 3/1 or somet!

Now I know that bad beat stories are boring but in my life i have bet on a lot of golf tournaments and I have backed the odd winner. The best ever being Adam Scott at the Players ironically at 50-1. However in my golf betting career I have backed Angel Cabrera @ 100-1, Jean Van de Velde @ 150-1 (and 66-1, 20-1 and 10-1 too), Scott Stallings @ 160/1, Marc Warren @ 150/1 all of whom have blown at least a two shot lead on the back nine and in a couple of cases bigger leads later. Tough game mentally betting golf.

It's a very tough game, my first ever proper bet was Greg Norman to win masters in 1996- i was 13. Had £20@14s which was my roll at the time, Kelly must have suggested 100% of roll. My Dad offered to buy the ticket from me for £200 before the last round. Basically suggesting Norman was 1/2, obviously snap said no, too shrewd to lay off at 1/2 pre bf days at 13 years old.
Old man trying to pinch a price from me

Thread wins gazillions from Paddy Power if Scott wins.
Lol, £1 EW @ 22/1! Shame we got restricted. Didn't realise they docked your price too. Was 25s when I put it on. They must really hate you. Will probably be restricting you to 50p e/w after this coup.

Yeah....day to day betting generally doesn't bother me too much these days. I am used to the 20-30 bet losing runs and they barely even irritate me these days but the near misses at the really big paydays like this are still really tough to take. Oh well we move on. Apologies for moaning!!!!
