He works for us. Bit of a poker legend. Final tabled one of the 1st EPTs when he was about 12 and him and Dubai used to try and drink London dry of champagne.

He's convinced he recognises me from somewhere. The mind truly boggles.
Spent the best part of 2 hours at the same table. Seemed like a top man. Barely took any of my chips, although tbf I only play Kings and Aces.
I'm also 29 with one Hendonmob entry. I have no tattoos and better eyesight. Think he wins.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

It's easier to play like that when you are young. I remember that hand now. Good spot Doobs.

Just checked the chess results. Radjabov drew comfortably with Karjakin. Caruana (who beat Radjabov yesterday) lost.
Three guys have 1½/2. Radjabov plays Dutch prodigy Anish Giri tomorrow (well, Saturday). Radjabov has Black, so no heroics expected, but a few solid results in a row - if no one makes much of a run for it - might give him the confidence he needs.

I well remember that night in Dublin. The Tourney had been held somewhere in Dublin (Merrion perhaps?) but moved to some Library or art bollox venue for the Final. Did Dubai fly in with a bunch of fellow degens, & have a stretch limo waiting outside to go show Dublin how to celebrate?
Think I updated it with young Jen.
Good to see you yesterday, Neil.

The games are so tough to call because of how aggressive the players are. It is a bit like deciding who will win a two game heads up match between nosebleed players.
If they all beat each other up, that will suit Radjabov
provided he can find some self-belief and, with it, his A- game

Shame I managed to lose all my chips on the last hand of the night, as I would have asked him about that today!
Am staying locally for the weekend anyway, so might pop in and invite him to reminisce.

I like to leave 'em wanting more.
I'll be having a wander around some of those artsy fartsy places in London.
No helping some people, eh?

May I suggest a LAY of Forest at home to Barnsley today @1.75 for a liability of £20.
We are out of form having not won in 5, and I can see Barnsley coming and giving it a real go due to their position in the league, and they will want to put last weeks result to bed.
Our strikers do not score, and we are under pressure having dropped to 8th.
Also, I just have a bad feeling today (shouldn't count but...)
