I told my brother about the ladbrokes money back offer on the race yesterday if dawn approach won. They allowed him £5 max, anyway he got on. Today he logged in expecting to have a free bet, but it wasn't there. After speaking to live chat they informed him that as he is restricted he is not eligable for money back offer. How low can a firm go, limiting him to a £5 bet, then refusing to pay out £5 as a free bet!
No real point to this post, other than to bad mouth ladjokes. I think he also got restricted down to the wallsall bet posted here.
On reflection, I think the correct course of action by Ladbrokes here would be to warn the punter BEFORE the bet (with free offer) was placed.
To not do so is certainly a bit naughty, I agree.

I just think it's abit pathetic, regardless of the sums of money involved. A major bookmaker goes from taking all of his bets, to limiting his account after the wallsall coup which never came off, to refusing to pay out a £5 free bet.

It is most extraordinary how so many firms have closed or restricted so many accounts over that Walsall coup. Nobody did a thing wrong, or acted in an underhand way.
I don't génerally subscribe to all the "we hate bookies" stuff, but in this case, it all seems a bit odd. I would add, in case you are not aware, that I have a conflict of interest which may impair my objectivity, in that I work for a bookmaker, and own quite a few shares in Ladbokes. Biased ftw.

Nakhi Wells scored the opening goal at Burton, and then a brace?
Thread has flop lag.

I love the bookies, they provide a lot of entertainment for me. I just think they should give their fair share of action back. I wouldn't worry about your shares, they are no mugs, and certainly look after their own interests.
Talking of shares, and ladbrokes...I once won a share in on of their race horse promotions. Just before they sold the horse it was declared lame, or had shin splints, or something similar. Sold for a fraction of the estimated price, next thing we knew it was in america winning some big money races! Adz and marky will prob remember as i remmeber they were players back in the day when ladbrokes poker was decent.

Thoughts on Maureen for the big race today?
Looks like it has taken a bit of interest this morning after a slide yesterday.

Who was it put up the Palace to beat Posh and Hudds-Barnsley draw double? Redarmi? Did you play it in the end?
Poor etiquette by both Yorkshire teams at the end imo, both should be deducted 10pts next season.

uh, it didn't. I said it was probably bad for accounts, I didn't say it was a bad bet.
