Im just going to a meeting and I've failed to get much on this one so I shall happily give to Fred.

Usually I would say this is a very strong bet on form and shape of race (dirty each-way). I have had extra info which suggests the price is going to shorten more than it already has so I'd be recommending as big as you dare.

The 1.55 Uttoxeter has a favourite with solid form in Silver Eagle who won over shorter at Wetherby. Having described this as having an "outstanding chance" the trainer went on to say that all his runners would need good or faster ground. I think they've had 24m of rain overnight and the going is now G/S with soft in places. The horse has never actually been 3m and I don't think I'd take 4/6 a potentially doubtful stayer on potentially unsuitable ground.

The "second favourite" Any Currency is a massive plodder. It was tailed off in the National, a race I backed it to finish in the top 10 in. It really loves soft and heavy ground but it may not have the toe for these hurdlers.

I went through the five horses who are 100/1 and upwards and I really couldn't make any case for them at all. All look outclassed here.

Letemgo has run OK on heavy ground and ran OK last time. That was over 2m4f though and the time before it looked like it failed to stay 2m6f. That could have been due to inexperience. This one is interesting but not a solid frame horse.

I was left with Wishes and Stars. This one unseated when possibly going to win at Wincanton recently. It then ran over a shorter trip at Stratford. It was outpaced and then ran on. I think he's crying out for this trip and I really fancy the horse to be in the three.

Usually I would be delighted to be on this each-way. Having heard of massive support expected for this from a great source I am now thinking this will go off 2nd favourite. I could easily see this starting 11/4.

Suggest very strong each-way bet at 5/1 Betfred (Hills bloody went 4/1 while I was typing).

I'd happily take 4/1 this (I'm on tiny at 6/1).

We got 3rd, which was fine, & LetEmGo finished a distant fourth. No others finished.

Hills have a finish 2nd, get a free bet tomorrow offer on mobile for £25 max.  Guess we must bet the favourite in the next.  Stick £25 on Liber Nauticus in the 14.45 at York on your mobile.

Tikay tending the allotment?  Not as impressive as ours for the Oaks.

Liber Nauticus...

Big boat of a thing, still green and will stay further, but wouldn't be keen backing her for a Classic in a couple of weeks.

She's been cut from 5/1 to 7/2 but I'd prefer Secret Gesture at that price. Just wouldn't be sure about Moth or Liber Nauticus going round Epsom.

All in all, we is in a good spot.

She looked like a St Ledge filly to me.

I was impressed, think she'll win plenty this season - just not the Oaks.

Although not as good as the Jacquelin v Jimenez match bet from a few weeks ago, I think there is a decent match bet opportunity in the Madeira Island Open Golf tournament commencing tomorrow morning. Rikard Karlberg has stated on his blog(http://rikardgolf.com/) that he is playing with an injured left shoulder, he only hit some balls yesterday after not being able to since last Wednesday. He mentioned he struggled to control the height of his shots, and considering this is due to be a windy tournament, not being able to fully turn through shots is likely to lead to a poor performance.

Ladbrokes have placed him in a match bet with Craig Lee @ 10/11, Craig Lee is no superstar but has a top 10 this year and a couple of top 20s in much better class events. He is a fairly consistent golfer, who should be used to playing in the wind. His past form here isnt great, but at least hes played this course the last two years, whereas Karlberg hasnt played it since 2007(when he shot +11) . They are both due to play in the afternoon, so they should face the same weather.

I think this is probably worth £55 @ 10/11 Craig Lee to beat Rikard Karlberg with Ladbrokes.

I have doubled this up with McDowell to beat Chris Wood in his match in the group stage of the matchplay, Ladbrokes are joint best at 4/5 and although traditionally a lottery(and I dont normally get involved), I think there are plenty of reasons to think this is a decent price.
1/ Wood hasnt played competitively for 8 weeks after a niggly injury,...he thinks his game is in solid shape, but he has to be rusty.
2/ Wood had a nightmare 16 hour journey to get to Bulgaria from Bristol! http://chriswoodgolf.net/golf-players-blog-detail/id/502.html He had only played 3 holes at the time of writing.
3/ McDowell travelled by private jet from the players championship, is an excellent match player, and has stated his "game is in very good shape" as shown by his win a cpl of weeks ago. The course is nicknamed the pebble beach of Europe, and pebble beach was where McDowell won his major.

I will leave it the thread to decide whether to include the 2nd selection with the first.

I know Mr T doesn't like doing acca's but I was going to put Graham McDowell up as a bet to win the whole thing. As you said the course favours accurate hitters and McDowell is certainly that. He also got to the final last year when he was defeated by the magnificent 3G.

Suggest £10 on McDowell @ 17/2 with Coral

Thank you.

Details to follow, (working at present) but have placed both bets as singles, at the advised prices, with Ladbrokes.

I can't get on this so might as well give it to Fred.  Paddy and VC have 12/5 Oscar Cardozo to score at anytime in the Europa League final tonight.  It should be a 2/1 shot imo.
