Purdy's corner pulls him out at the end of the 7th. We don't run bad after all.

Yeah Purdy would have made it to the final bell had they not pulled him.

So the Alexander bet got home, albeit in odd circumstances.

What a day for Bazza!

Gave us two winners, £50 @ 11/10 & £20 EW @ 9/2, for an overall profit of about £170.

Good morning all

Are we sitting comfortably?

Then let us begin

Chelsea and arsenal both to win. Need Chelsea for nice ew treble, as suggested on here, with watford, donny. Happy if arse get third tho.
Peter uilhein to win in Maderia
GMAC to win matchplay
Leishman in states, but effectively dead.

Pepite rose to win at Stratford, and hopefully my old mate Prospect Wells will win on his chasing debut.

Mr Swann needs to pull his finger out in the cricket, and anything else anyone wishes to suggest on here will be followed unless singing is involved.

That concludes the betting from the Cirencester area. Gl

Confession time........

I'm sure everyone was proud of me yesterday, when I executed, successfully, TWO decent bets on Betfair. Yup, I've mastered Betty at last.

Regulars will know we laid Declaration of Way for £200 yesterday, & then, when things went a bit doo-lally, we backed it for the same sum, to close the position. Well that was the theory......

I won't bore you with the details, but DoW's price was plunging rapidly, &, well, I sort of found myself in a bit of a spot, & panicked a little bit, as we had a big exposure & the price was falling like a stone.......and I MAY have ended up backing DoW at a lower price than I laid it. I genuinely did not know what else to do. It did not help that I was trying to multi-table (2 Tables....) poker throughout.

Suffice to say, I had to anti-rail the horse to save Fred £50, & I anti-railed good, & we got out of the coup all-square. It may have taken some explaining this morning if DoW had won. The weird thing is if I had just stood the lay, we would have cleaned up.

Anyway, I've sent myself a memo.

I'm gonna blame Betfair & Chompy. Seems reasonable.

Daily Report

Profit on Month £171.69

Outstanding Bets £1350.9

Overall Profit £1334.16 ROI 2.43%

A wonderful profit of £224.12 yesterday, and a late night spat.

So, a busy busy day

Star performer has to go to Bazzaboy who accounted for £170 of the profit by picking the Prizefighter winner (+£120) and the winner of a fight to be stopped before the end of the 8th. Not sure how it was stopped before the end of the 8th, but it was (+£50)

In racing Doobs gave us Dundonnell at 15/8 and two runners up means we now have three £25 free bets to use this week. Hopefully they can be turned into some cash

In Football, Bradford pulverised Northampton for the first half hour, and Nakhi Wells scored. At combined odds of 3-1, that was another £75 into the coffers thanks to Doobs

In Darts Peter Wright triumphed at lunchtime, to add £40 to the satchel thanks to Snowball.

In less successful endeavours we went 0 for 5 on Eurovision, though quite how the UK entry finished 19th and seven songs finished below it, perhaps time will never tell. Very unlucky for Hector

It would be immodest of me to remind you all that your scribe stuck up a you tube video of Denmark when they were 5/2 with the comment "This is the winner". So I won't.

Chompy's deus horribilis was complete when he correctly identified that Declaration of War would drift, and it did so from 5-1 to 7-4. Only adroit Betfair skirmishing by tikay, as if born to complete such complex trades, saved the thread from a loss. Inevitably, and confirming Chompy's initial analysis, Declaration of Drift was done for toe and beaten well.

We drew two blanks in the Preakness, and there followed an interesting debate in which I was reminded of the immortal words of Steven patrick Morrissey

"Preakness, Preakness I was only joking When I said I'd like to smash every tooth In your head"

Reading it, I knew how Joan of Arc felt, anyway.

Looking ahead, we are in very good shape in the Golf where Lee goes into the final round in Madeira -11 to Karlberg's -5 in the match bet. Henriques meanwhile, the Claypole banzai, is a long way back so the fat lady is singing on that one

In Bulgaria, McDowell is giving us a great run in the Matchplay, currently in the semi-finals

In Cricket, today should be the day for Mr Swann to come to the party and recover some wicket taking ground to Anderson.

England, assuming they get 250 on, will win by 75 or so

In County Cricket Middlesex are top of a very competitive LVCC Div 1 heat, albeit down to 5 teams possible winners and we have 7-1 each way

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/county-championship-division-one/table

In division 2 Northants drew, but remain 32 points ahead at the top, as other teams continue to beat each other. Several teams are going to have to come out of the pack from here to ruin our 20-1 e/w

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/county-championship-division-two/table

In the IPL Mumbai made the top two and play Chennai on Tuesday, the winner reaching the final.

Another hilarious and clever report, spoilt only by lack of heavy roller mention.

If Fred is ever thinking of backing one of Singhee's baseball tips you should check with me 1st. I have an even more incredible record on his selections than the great man himself.

I can literally only remember backing two winners and one of them I barely got matched on.

You can absolutely guarantee that if I get on one of them it loses. I think I have bet something like 12 baseball losers and 2 winners.

I am on the internet 14 hours a day and I always look at Fred at intervals throughout the day. If ever Singhee gives a tip I try and get on blind.

On the very rare occasions that I go to bed early, or even rarer, go out, you can guarantee I get in/wake up to find everyone celebrating another well thought out winner.

Yesterday I had my worst day of the year and then I went out to an evening wedding do. I got in and read the suggestion. I had decided to take a day off today. I couldn't resist the bet and had one of my bigger bets for baseball.

Honestly - you guys should ban me from following.

Such a frustrating game. Off to buy the Racing Post.

McDowell v Jaidee in the Matchplay final it looks like

£10 at 17-2 is on McDowell (well done Hector)

Jaidee is 15/8 to win the final

http://www.oddschecker.com/golf/volvo-world-match-play-championship/volvo-world-match-play-championship/winner

Easy £15-20 on Jaidee and make it a win-win isn't it Hector?

-£10/+£65 would become (on £20) +£27.5/+£45.......

Ouch @ Neil. Test of character this puntering.

Hope he follows Hector - McDowell has just eased into the Matchplay Final. Think Hector got us on at 17/2.

One more good round please GMac.
