Hi Mere,
http://www.oddschecker.com/cycling/tour-de-france/tour-de-france-stage-4-
[nice-ttt-25km]/winner
Sorry pushed for time.
BMC FTW with PP 18/1. Suggest £10.00
I have Garmin as favourites, but all the top six teams will all be close, probably something like 20-30 sec difference.
BMC team will have the advantage of going second to last & can work to the times already set.
14/1 - any good?
laddies or stans @ 16/1
Betfair FTW
Oops.
Rookie mistake.

thank you
Not quite as good then
Classic press conference moment today
To the unknown Pole Kubot
"Can you tell us something about Janowicz please? Does he do anything crazy on tour?"
Answer "No"
Next question then.....
Janowicz looks a real player on grass.

Get ready, there could be a Big Brother bet in the offing. This one could be bigger than Rylan's new chompers.

Mr Mere,
Dung Beetle is coming on later with Watford at 5-1 to be promoted from Championship. the discussion is on the long term football bets thread.
One I would like to propose is Reading outright at 10-1 (17-2 on Betfair)
http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/championship/winner
However I don't think Skybet, 188bet or Spreadex are feasible, so we may have to wait
- Been through the management change last season, so have stability for the new season
- Retained squad, with wealthy owner to provide further backing
- Parachute payments are not included in any FFP calculations. This gives a big (theoretical at this stage) advantage to all sides with them especially with 9 sides (at last calculation) set to fail and therefore restricted in transfer market
- Squad has goals, and did in the Premiership too....Le Fondre, Pogrebnyak, Robson Kanu etc
- What it didn't have was a Premiership defence, not so much of a probelm a division lower
Would be astonished if they were not top 6, surprised if not top 3 and consider them favourites to go back up of the three relegated teams...QPR could go either way and Wigan have the Europa League on top of the League programme.

I’ve been alluding to backing Watford in the Championship for a few weeks now, and I think now is the time to act, as information has firmed up and the price has yet to respond.
The best way to attack is to back with Bet Victor Watford to be promoted at 5-1, as opposed to the 14-1 for winning.
To clear things up firstly, Watford are NOT banned from buying/loaning players from Udinese and they are NOT under a full transfer embargo. We have a soft embargo after being naughty with Danny Graham transfer proceeds a few years back, and this simply means that we have to get paperwork rubber stamped by the football league before making purchases, whereas I think other teams can do the paperwork afterwards.
The impact of the “Holloway” Ruling is that we can only sign 4 players on loan from Udinese. This isn’t a problem. Last year we had about 12, but this was because the takeover was late in the summer and it was the only way to patch our squad up in time.
Watford will play 3-5-2 this season, with a back up plan of 4-3-3 if that isn’t working. The 3-5-2 is lethal on the road, but sometimes it struggles to break down teams at home hence the need for plan B.
I am aware of several players who have confirmed as joining, some who are strongly rumoured to be joining and some spots which we still need to address. These empty spots will be sorted by the new season. The only thing I am unsure about is which players will be on loan contracts, and which will be perms.
THE SQUAD
Keepers:
New Keeper /Almunia
Bond
Wing Backs
Casetti
Faroani
Anya
Pudil
New Left Back
Centre Backs
Angella
Doyley
Nosworthy
Hoban
Hall (possible – not sure if they will renew)
Ekstrand (possible – not sure if he is keen)
New Centre Back
Midfielders
Abdi
Battochio
Hogg
Murray
Smith
New defensive midfielder
New central midfielder
Strikers
Forestieri
Deeney
Acuna
Fabbrini
Assombolonga (think he’ll be loaned out)
Vydra (possible)
Obviously there is the option of waiting 2 weeks and seeing the squad confirmed, but I am confident that the players stated will sign, with more to come. I don’t think the odds will last and I think Watford along with Reading will go off with the best squads in the division.
Recommend: £100 on Watford to be promoted at 5-1 with Bet Victor

Think a number of us suggested it. Not bothered who it goes down under, can be your tip Fraser if Mere goes for it.

Thanks.
I know nothing about football but appreciate the write-up.
I can't bring myself to bet £100 of tikay's money at 5/1 but have invested £50.
