It's really overwhelming because I've been struggling," Hamilton admitted.

"Since the first run in P1, which was pretty good, P2 and P3 were just disasters. It got even worse this morning and we were miles off: I was a good eight-tenths of a second off and wasn't comfortable with the car at all.

"But we went back into the track, worked hard and just tried to analyse everything and made lots and lots of changes. I just hoped that everything would work and fortunately the car was beneath me and I was able to put in the times we did.

"So I'm grateful for the work the guys did with me and again this is just down to all the hard work the team have been putting in."

.....

"These [Red Bull] guys are good on their long runs and I hope with my new set-up hopefully it will be as good and we can give them a run for their money."

Oh well, Mr Bjorn can join Ms Bartoli in the "ones that got away" file

The Ladies final is a bit of an excruciating watch really.

cheers :-)

Bartoli has become only the sixth player in the Open Era to win Wimbledon without dropping a set

740/1 pre-event

150/1 and tipped to someone on here (no names!) after the seeds started dropping

50/1 when hypothesised on here by me and I didn't get on for myself either

Pass the hand grenade.

Bartoli has more tics and rituals than Jonathan Trott. Wasn't out of the question that, had Janowicz won in 3 yesterday, he could have done the same. Of course, Djok is much more experienced and Lisicki just couldn't settle, but Bartoli's power and that incredible crosscourt backhand were, as the kids say, crushing.

Decent news for out Porte Podium place

2nd to Froome today and second in the classification

Quintana from cheapwetsuit in April wasn't the worst tip ever either.

Given the swingy nature of Big Brother, I wouldn't be against the idea of laying back the £150 @ 4.

When she hits 4 that is, probably some time today or tomorrow. I'll leave the decision to TV's Tony Kendall though.

As it stands we have £150 @ 8-1, which would return £1,200 profit.

If we lay back the £150 @ 3-1, she'd return £750 for a freebie.

Sometimes housemates change once they know how they're perceived on the outside, the likes of Nikkkki and Ashleeeeeen, but I don't think Gina will tbh.

I didn't get enough on to bother trading - Vegas has cost me here - but it's fine to ghey out in a volatile market if you'd rather.

If you wanted to think about it for a while, that'd be fine...

(those vids are no indicator of her chances btw)
