After today's stage of the TdF, Movistar have made up 12 minutes on TST and Belkin, a large total of what they lost yesterday. Ladbrokes still have Movistar at 8/1 to win the team classification, when they are just 2:30 behind the leaders. Betfair have them as 1/2 favourites. Suggest £20 @ 8/1. Easy to green out later.

PS. Have to look a bit for the market ... click on other 4 markets.

Good old Ladjokes. I got the following email yesterday afternoon:

Dear Mr Jenkins,
Thank you for placing your bet with Ladbrokes on Movistar Team, Tour De France.
The price for this event was incorrectly displayed at 8/1. The correct price for this bet is 4/5.
We would like to apologise for this mistake and offer you the following options:
· Void your bet
· Settle your bet at the correct price
If you would like us to void your bet, then all you need to do is contact us as soon as you receive this email, at care@ladbrokes.co.uk or on 0800 1694334.
If you prefer your bet to stand you do not have to do anything, If your bet wins it will be automatically settled at the correct price.
Yours sincerely
Ladbrokes Customer Services

Just as well I didn't lay the bet off on Betfair for an insta-profit. I guess the next time a price on Ladbrokes seems too good to be true, I'll have to phone them first to confirm.

The best part is that I got the email about 30 minutes after the finish of Stage 15, where Movistar had lost 12 minutes to Saxo-Tinkoff, and their price had drifted to 9/2. Guess they were waiting to be off the hook before offering me a generous 4/5. Needless to say I've asked them to void the bet, but I'm half expecting them to email me later, telling me I now have to accept the 9/2.

Oh ... and Mr Jenkins isn't my name. Great customer service.  Roll Eyes

England were lucky to win the first Test and Australia will win the Ashes

That's the sort of scoop a real interviewer gets

A decent interviewer would have asked about Agar, specifically......

Given we slept through the Justin Rose 20s at BetVictor, I suggest the following on the Open.

Jason Day £15 e/w at 33/1
Charl Swartzel £15 e/w at 40/1
Rickie Fowler £15 e/w at 50/1
Jason Dufner £10 e/w at 80/1
Webb Simpson £10 e/w at 80/1
Bubba Watson £10 e/w at 100/1
Jim Furyk £10 e/w at 100/1
Keegan Bradley £10 e/w at 100/1
Jamie Donaldson £10 e/w at 125/1
Nick Watney £10 e/w at 125/1

all at BetVictor and make sure you click the each way box.

and if that isn't enough
Jordan Spieth  £5 e/w 150/1 at Stan James

Think that is about £240 total, so comfortably below the max, so can't see any complaints.

Some of these we beat Betfair on the place prices and we get 3 extra places with BetVictor.  They all look good on the maths.

You snooze, you lose.

All is not lost, we can now do £20 e/w on Day and £15 e/w on all those above 100s!

No, I relieve Mere of his duties at 00.01 on Friday.

The Open Preview is this evening, yes.

Tour de France & Quintana update.

During the rest day the Movistar riders talked to reporters.

Valverde on Quintana: “It’s super important for Movistar that he’ll make the top three in Paris and I’ll help him to do so”

Quintana admitted that he doesn’t know any of the climbs scheduled for the last week of the Tour. He didn’t recce the stages. He'll be alright though imo. Less than 2 mins from 3rd & with stages 18, 19 & 20 that provide excellent opportunities for him.

Priced at 10/11 Top 3 Finish.

Re Thursday, doesn't Broady always crush at Lordy's?

7/2 for top England bowler any good? Jimmy had a heavy one at Trent Bridge, Swann not at his best and Finn unlikely to get used enough?

Finn may not play, Bresnan might

I gather there are still worries about Broad's shoulder. It is true he goes well at Lords

Swann should be better, a bit undercooked at Trent Bridge, but Lords isn't a ground where spinners have a great record

Anderson is brilliant, but may be a foot shorter by the end of this summer

No bet for me. If pressed yes Broad, but keep ears open on the injury whispers
