My text alert just went off.
Son of Delboy makes it through to Produce Stakes final. Runs Saturday at Swindon best ante post price 7/1. I recommend a bet at this price.
This was from well-connected chap at Hall Green (the home track of this dog), who knows more about dogs and prices than I.
Odds are here:
http://www.oddschecker.com/greyhounds/ante-post/produce-stakes/winner?mobile_redirect=false
Form is here:
http://www.sportinglife.com/greyhounds/profile/dog/son-of-delboy/2550472
Happily take views from the Elders. Fundamentally, this is a "my mate fancies" tip that is on a major final, where you'd expect everything is trying. However, we are looking for value, which is a little more subjective and the odds are skewed by a big favourite.
Something to do on Saturday after the cricket?
Thanks Simon.
"Mates tip", noted, but hopefully one of our greyhound lads will take a look for us, or even Dubai.
I'm slightly underselling it, probably, as he knows better than the average Sporting Life peruser about Hall Green dogs and he doesn't send tips more than once in a blue moon, but I have literally nothing else beyond that text to go on.
Would be wrong of me to present it any other way.
Grown ups, do your worst.

Boxing
BJ Saunders on points at 7/4 with BV is a very nice price and unlikely to last. He is technically very good but really lacks punching power. He was unable to find a stoppage against a past it Bradley Price, Nick Blackwell and blown up light-middle Matthew Hall. All 3 fighters had been stopped before anytime they had stepped up in class. Saunders has also had hand problems in the past so is content to use his technical superiority to outbox his opponents rather than unloading and risking further hand trouble (much like Calzaghe in the latter part of his career).O'Sullivan is 16-0 and probably his toughest test to date but I expect Saunders to get a wide UD, something like 118-110. Recommend £40
Like this. Will be having some myself

Quintana up to 4th (?) Mollema falters.....
Great podium sweat here, bet placed at 33/1 e/w by cheapwetsuit three months ago!
Any idea where this bet was placed? I'm sure I was on it but can't find it anywhere!
William Hill
Quintana is actually 5th, 2 mins off the podium after losing time to Kreuziger today. I suppose the next two stages he should claw it back
He's 1.5 on Betfair to podium
Cheers, cant seem to find it there either though
Hoping I've not placed it in store and binned the slip
When I tipped it, I seem to remember it was 50/1 @ PP and 40/1 @ Coral. Hopefully you got on at one of these, and that's why you can't find your betslip.
Really enjoying the TdF this year and hoping that Quintana does well for selfish reasons. Tomorrow evening, I'm meeting up with friends in London to watch the highlights of the Alp D'Huez stage. It's going to take all my self control not to switch on the telly in the afternoon. Thank God for the golf.
PS. Took the bike out for the first time this year round Richmond Park. Loved every minute.

Boshi, have you decided you prefer one conjoined twin over the other? Your avatar seems to have cut someone's face in half.

Replied Tal.
Funnily I tipped the dog for the comp two weeks ago at 10/1 and simply have to top up at 7/1. Incred early.

Boom. Northants are a serious emerging side. Defending 150 against Somerset a fine effort. Told you about azarullah. Nasty death bowler

Standout T20 price for tomorrow
http://www.oddschecker.com/cricket/friends-life-t20/northamptonshire-v-somerset/winner
Northants £40 to beat Somerset 11/8 Bet365. 5/4 best price elsewhere
Northants about to go top of their Group having tonked Gloucs for 206 today
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/english-twenty20/table
Unbeaten at home so far this season in T20
Invested in overseas signings this year to bolster the batting, Richard Levi (south african big hitter, 178 runs in competition so far this year ) and Cameron White (Aussie IPL star, batting at 3 for Northants)
Have one of the most underrated death bowlers in Azarullah who has taken 11 wickets at 10 each in 5 games this season
I saw them on Sunday and the contrast to prior seasons in terms of fitness, fielding, approach is astonishing. First year I think I can remember that they are competitive in the hit it and giggle stuff
Somerset perennial T20 contenders but the side is under-performing this year. Ageing in key spots (Trescothick, Alfonso Thomas, Suppiah has retired) and only won 2 of 4 so far this season
Still a dangerous side with Buttler, Kieswetter, Petersen etc, but not the force of old in any competition this season
10 days ago Somerset beat home at home to Northants but At home, preparing a pitch to suit (slow, low) Northants should be a shade odds on for this in my opinion
Was shocked to see 11/8 though of course its T20...randomising format for betting purposes as any short game can be
Terrific read Rich, you the Hit It and Giggle man.

Excellent, Scotty. Thanks.
Superb cricket tekkers, Tighty. Think Finn might get the nod tomorrow at home?

I actually thought Freddy looked fairly solid favourite in that market and got involved yesterday @ 7/2 although forgot to put it up for discussion. Not played the Open in a few years but won the senior version last year, and will want to get 4 days play here as practice for the defense next week.
Plus consistent as ever on the seniors circuit (6/8 Top 10's) so can't complain about his form.

Interestingly Vijay Singh is shorter in the overall on Betfair, though he looks a bit out of form. You can get him at 350/1 with Paddy Power. You get 7 places at close to 90/1, and with Betfair just 5 places at close to half the odds. Was tied 9th last year. Couldn't resist the £2 each way Super Banzai.
Couples is 300/1, quarter 7 places if you want to Banzai that too.
Though it is tempting to suggest them for the thread, I am resisting.
