England 3/1 tonight vs France who have already qualified. I am sure they will rest some players in what is a meaningless game to them but one which #England need to win to progress to the Quarters. Not bad odds for a team that is playing another team with nothing to gain
The Women's Euro2013?
England have been atrocious in their first two games. I haven't watched the French team.
England will be making changes.
France might get an advantagepus QF draw if they don't lose?
I'm not a football expert by any means so happy to back it if there is any support.
Yeas Womens
A recent meeting vs the two had England throw a 2-0 lead against a full strength french team. I agree England been poor in the first two games, but England will make changes. Smith upfront with the other one who scored the injury time equalizer against Russia. Hope I believe will lose her job if they do not go through to the quarters.
Listening Guy Mobrays and Lucy wards (the commentators) thoughts they think the same too, if England can't get up for a game like this then I will be surprised. It's a decent punt at 3/1 for a fiver or something similar.
Yeah, and England looked good for the last 5 minutes of the game against Russia - so they're in form. Duggan to start as well?
3/1 sounds like a good price for a little punt to me.
Got fractionally better (after commission) odds on Betfair.
You guy have more faith than me!

For my education only, can anyone tell me whether it is easier to make the cut in a golf Major rather than a normal tour tournament.
I have no idea of comparative field sizes or numbers that make the cut.
However, surely in Majors there are a number of amateurs, seniors and occasional players who would not be expected to make the cut thereby increasing everyone else's chances?

Taking the current renewal of The Open, yes, the likes of Tom Watson, Sandy Lyle, Sir Nick Faldo & Rory McIllroy are all likely to struggle.
I smell a shrewd bet brewing.

Froome gaining time on Contador and Kreuziger but losing it to Quintana.

Great ride from the young fella
Froome showed the first signs of weakness. Still two big days in the mountains.

What a competition this would be without froome!
Needs to recover quickly as I can't see him confidently relying on Porte twice more

I think it is far harder to make the cut in a major. At a rough guess to make any cut you have to be in the top 60+ ties. At an ordinary golf tournament you may have 25 of the top 100 players in the world. At a major tournament you will likely have 90% of the worlds top 100 players which would make it far harder to make it into the top 60.

Another golf question please
Scoring is a touch more difficult this afternoon
this is the course firming up? no real change in weather conditions, so what else would this be?
Is there any evidence yet of which draw for rounds 1 and 2 is preferable?

Another golf question, this time for Doobs.
When placing multiple e/w bets on an event like The Open do you factor in the reduced equity for each subsequent bet as only one person can win it and only 8 (for example) can place.

think the course is firming up and the breeze has got stronger

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots
