Was talking over the NBA Rookie of the Year betting with a friend in Vegas, he's not a massive fan of the boy Kelly, doesn't think his game is good enough, doesn't mind MCW, our other pick. He's a fan of Ben McLemore, but I think we should leave those bets as is for now.

Interestingly, he did mention he's very keen on a guy for the Heissman trophy. I know so little about American football I couldn't remember if this is NFL or college, but my friend is a massive college sports fan (who runs a betting site/pro gambler) so is worth listening to on these things (and the rookies making the big leagues).

He is big on a guy called Marcus Mariota, and recommended I had a small bet at 12-1, 14-1, something round there, which is the price he is in the early betting out in Vegas.

We can get 25s with Bwin (for pennies) and 22s with Coral. I know little about this or him, anyone who does I'd be interested to hear more, but think throwing 10 or 20 quid at this can't do too much harm?

Mariotta is the QB for the Oregon Ducks

Lost on the Heisman to Manziel last year but he was a freshman, and this year on a strong team (Oregon 12-1 last year) should be even better

He is what is called a "dual read" QB like newton, Kaepernick and Robert Griffin and going back Michel Vick..throws but runs just as well

I can't speak to the competition for the Heisman yet, its a way off my radar but Mariota must be in the running

Longy is an Oregon duck, I will link him to this, ask for his opinion

In the "Phrases you least expect to see" department that ranks pretty high, imo.

Longy is an Oregon duck

tikay has resumed control and everything is fine in Fred's world.

Thanks to everyone for their tips and general assistance during my tenure.
We managed to turn a loss into a profit in June and have kept things in the black in July.

I wish you continued good fortune going forward.

Interesting use of "control".

Thank you for all your hard work Mr Mere, it really is appreciated.

Phew, Oddschecker is back. You don't realise how much you use it until it's down.

Morning Mr T.

Welcome back from LV. I trust jetlag won't be causing you to have 5 hour naps in the afternoon, but just in case it is then this tennis bet is for this afternoon.

In the Hamburg 1/4 final Fognini plays Haas. They have met once before, a week ago as it happens, when Fognini won 6-2, 6-4 in a tournament that he went on to win. It was played on clay, the same surface as today so the form is rock solid. That really should make Fognini favourite today, but he is not.

Suggest £15 Fognini @ 11/8 with Boyles, Betfred or Betvictor.

Morning Milky, & congrats on your recent run of Gold Topped bets.

Jet-Lag? Not me Sir, am about to write a Post about that on my Diary, in response to a couple of questions about it. Avoiding jet-lag is all about the daily BE timings.

We are on the Tennis bet, thank you, let's book a winner or two this weekend, we may need a little help with the way our Open Golf portfolio is currently looking.

We have £15 @ 11/8, Bet Victor, Fognini over Haas, German Tennis Jobbie.

Terrific Photo Gallery Rich, thank you.

Am NOT knocking the bet, everything is easier in the rear view mirror, but from all accounts, the English Women's football team were beyond abysmal.

The Telescope photo is incredible.

Abysmal?  They weren't even close to being that good.

An Oregon Duck, not THE oregon duck.

You may be assured, Longy, Fred has adopted the Oregon Ducks. How could we not?

Months & months of Duck previews & reviews will follow now. All for a £20 or £25 bet. What's not to like about Fred?

Don't suppose there is a chance we didn't miss the bet on Jordan Spieth?

Ahh, the kid who is -2 in The Open?

Last mention of him on here that I can see was back in March, presumably for The Masters?

There was at least one mention after that.  Never mind, if it isn't on, it isn't on.  Go on Jordan.
